Hi, mikenmarn - we are staying b&b at the Orion, so can't help with prices at the Manuela but I am sure that someone will. We fly at 7.15 am from Manchester on 5th! Can't wait - 23 days!!!!
We stayed at the Manuela a couple of weeks ago and although we did'nt have one ,the breakfast was around £3 and evening meals varied but were probably between £4-£8 not expensive at all, and they quite often would offer us 15% off our meal with our first round of drinks at the bar free too! (that was before we had decided to eat there obviously)
wish it was me, enjoy yourselves you lucky, lucky things,Mel.

Hello Prawn and Crockergirl.
Thanks for that, very helpful.
This hotel has had so many good reports that we are looking forward to going, pity it will only be for a week.
Sorry you can't be with us Crockergirl.

Oh the staff are just great, they bent over backwards for us.When you see Yalmus(not sure about that spelling!) tell him you have heard that he was beaten by the english arm wrestling champion in July and Martin says does his arm still ache?
happy hols,Mel.

Turkish baths. Anyone know if there are any outwith the hotels in Bitez. Quite fancy a good scrubbing when we arrive....
Is Gumbet within walking distance (side roads) or only via a main road ??
4 days to go....

Hi Midloth, We stayed inYalikavak 9 years ago, took dolmus to Bitez and then walked the coast road to Gumbet, had something to eat then walked into Bodrum. It took up quite a large part of the day but it was worth it. Of course we were 9 years younger then, would not be able to do it now.We will be in Bitez in on the 4th Sept. but this time it will be a lazy holiday. Enjoy yourself. Mike and Marn
Hi Midloth Iain, yes we had a Turkish bath ( first time ever) it was great ,if you mention to John at the hotel He's always around, then his friend will come and pick you up and bring you back after, apparently he used to work next door in the Ambrosia hotel but has since left and set up on his own and we found the whole experience really good. You can still go next door and get one but the new guy is'nt supposed to be as good. Although we spoke to a couple of people who enjoyed it there so it may be alright.
have a good time,Mel.

I presume you mean the Manuela ? I am not actually staying there but will seek out John anyway
Mike / Marn
Thanks for that. Enjoy walking ( makes me feel less guilty after a night on the Efes)

Hi Micklemuck, Where do you intend buying the Baileys? Which is cheapest, Man airport, plane or Bodrum airport?
Will look out for you arriving a week on Monday.

Hello Prawn, I know just how you feel about flying, especially those early flights. It takes me ages to come round.
Will look out for you Tuesday in First Stop, if we can find it. If not you can always look us up at the Manuela.
Who else will be in Bitez week beginning 5th Sept

mikenmarn, I'll be there with a few of mine, fly out 4 Sep to arrive early hours of 5th Sept, got a good deal in Stansted 6 weeks ago - a bottle of vodka and a bottle of bacardi £15 also saw an offer for Baileys hmmm... decisions decisions
I need a holiday
Hi, Marn - do the early flights because I am a bad flier! Couldn't cope with a whole day of worrying. You can't miss the First Stop - it is on the 'prom' over the bridge from the Manuela (if I remember right) and before you get to the Mosque. Will certainly try to catch up with you sometime. Only 8 sleeps to go!
