There could be as many opinions as there are members. There are reviews of Bulgarian Hotels HERE
The 'best hotels' are not less then 3* plus, preferably higher, and were known to be fully completed and operational the previous year.
I would never consider a hotel that is an artists impression (or figment of an artist's imagination) in a brochure.

Hi Beermat, As Peter says there are a lot of good and bad hotels in SB. NEVER go below 3* and try 4*+ if poss. Two that I would recommend, both very central for all the action Grand Hotel Oasis and the Iberostar Sunny Beach Resort Hotel.
If you look at the reviews they back up my knowledge of them.

also try to get one with air-con,it gets a little warm at times
