Depends where you go. Plenty of places around Sharm el Sheikh - it's a busy, lively town provided you choose a hotel that is fairly central, quite cheap to eat out and pretty good by all accounts (did you read the 'favourite places to eat' thread in the stickies at the top of the Forum index page?).

Conversely, somewhere like Nuweiba is very quiet and has very little and you'll need to be half board or all inclusive.
