parker h, can you remember what part of the island it was.. north, south?? Which resort did you stay at? Was it an organised trip you went on or one you put together yourself?

ooooo we can't remember ,was an organised trip we think around the island. so we are lost just remember several large statues on edge of walkway , was situated around a square, just beside the chapel. sorry we are clutching at straws but desperate for some recognition from ht members xph

Are you sure it was Majorca, Parkerh? We have visited a town just like that, but it was in Tenerife!!!

just looked at our tenerife pics and lo and behold candelaria and kings of gaunche statues appeared doh! thanks denny i feel aright idiot you are correct. hubby says bus doesn't go to there from majorca typical, o well must find something else to see in majorca. teeheee thanks to all for your time and apoligies again xphx

Where abouts in Majorca are you going?
I guess you have been to Palma, I love the cathedral there, and the shopping of course!
Soller is lovely, especially on the little train that runs through there. Caves of Drach I thought were lovely and the port at Cala' dor - all those lovely expensive boats!

haha denny maybe! we are going to cala bona. we have been to cathederal and will go again as its beautiful. might go on the train as we have never done that. done caves of drach but not the other ones. i have heard there is a new aquarium in palma well i think that's where it was but you know me it could be in another country teehee thanks for your replies xxph

hi louise we will be staying at levante park, as we want a nice relaxing holiday as hubby had heart attack last year. we are in our 50's... well we both will be after june. xph

parkerh, you should have a great time - I stayed in the Levante (its sister hotel) the first time I went to Cala Bona (2 years ago) and it was fantastic. We'd had a horrendous flight - delayed 6 hours and by the time we got served food on the plane they'd run out of what we liked. We eventually arrived at the hotel and it was worth the hassle, very clean, great staff and excellent food - I had pancakes every day for a fortnight!!!

You can use all the facilities at the Levante as well as the Levante Park. The entertainment at the Levante is often livelier than the Levante Park, so you can take your pick depending on your mood. The link below takes you to the hotel group if you're interested.

Parkerh, the only black Madonna I know is in the Monastery of Lluc.
We will be in cala bona in july staying at the cala bona hotel again!!

hi majorca girl thanks for your post. we might get to see that madonna as you can see from the above posts ,i made a mistake and thought it was majorca and not tennerife that the statues were situated. o well have a lovely time we might bump into each other.xphx
