We stayed in a studio apartment with a view of a tree and some other apartments. The room was a good size and well equipped.

Cleanliness didn't seem a top priority as when we arrived, there were dirty marks in the sink and bath and marks on the toilet seat! The taps were in desperate need of renewing and the tiles around the shower/bath needed re-grouting.

Not all the towels were changed together (which seemed strange), but at least the bins were emptied daily.
The pool area was nice at first glance, but a closer look revealed that it looked like some time since the tiles around the edge had been cleaned and there were a lot of tiles missing from the pool floor.

Just needs a bit more TLC.

This was the fourth time of visiting the Sofianna and we will definately be booking again for next year. The pool is quite large with water features and a childrens section. Apartment facilities are excellent with the kitchen being well kitted out including toaster, microwave, coffe machine. The bedrooms all have a hairdryer which saves on one bulky item in your suitcase!Maid service is every day except Sunday. Some apartments are getting ready for a fresh coat of paint but overall are good value for money.

We arrived at the apartments at 11 on the wednesday night. Staff were helpful. Got to the apartment, it was more a flat than an apartment it was huge. Down side was the balcony was only big enough for 2 if you were lucky and had a tree growing through it plus overlooked some flats. We asked in the morning if they had a room with bigger balcony, they couldnt of been more helpful. Showed as to another 2 apartments which had a interconnecting door. This was great for us. We now had 2 bigger balconies, 2 kichens, 2 lounges, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms.(great for the kids they had there own apartment but we could keep an eye on them) It over looked the park in a nice peaceful area.

The apartments are basic but have anything you need in them. They are kept very clean by the maids.

The pool is lovely. Has a kids pool with fountains. A few tiles missing. You can always get a sunbed by the pool. The pool bar serves lovley food at good prices.

They show 3 movies from 6 in the evening which is very good cos that meant i could get ready in peace.

All the staff are helpful and friendly.

The apartments are just round the corner to bar street but no noise could be heard.

Would go back tomorrow if we could we all loved it here.

We booked this late deal 5 days before leaving and looked up the apartments on the internet. They are in a great location with bars and restaurants right on your doorstep so excellent for people who don't like to walk too far (namely our 4 year old son!).

Apartments are very large with a fully equipped kitchen area. Balcony was very small and overlooking the street so we didn't use it to sit out on only to dry our wet cossies! Bathroom wasn't very clean. We had someone elses toothpaste wiped on the back of the door for the first 2 days until we wiped it off ourselves. Sink water didn't go down very well either! and there was black mould underneath the soap holder on the bath. Brilliant having a TV that played DVD's at night and bbc1 and sky news!
lobby was excellent and very very clean and air conditioned.

All in all not a bad apartment block really as the pool area was fantastic and both our sons aged 4 and 2 loved playing in the pool all day!

This was our first visit to Cyprus and we read the reviews before deciding on Sofianna Apartments.

These are self catering with an option of breakfast although breakfast is cheaper if you buy seperately from the pool bar.

The rooms were cleaned and sheets and towels changed every other day, even had a clean tea towel then as well.
We only had a few breakfasts and snack here as we ate
out most of the time but what we had was of a really good standard.

Only 5 - 10 mins walk from the main harbour area and plenty of restaurants within minutes. If you like the bars Bar Street is only a few mins walk away but you do not hear it (well we didn't from studios 2).

The staff were friendly and pleasant except one older man a little grumpy if you interupted his soaps in the evening. There are lifts and ramps to rooms available but these were not pointed out by the staff at the time of checking in.

Entertainment I have left as 1 as there none supplied except DVD's of an evening, the list is updated daily in the foyer of the Apartments.

We would not hesitate to visit Sofianna again and many of the guests we spoke to are in fact repeat custom.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the complex overlooking the pool, the apartments were obviously not new and a bit faded round the edges but really clean with massive rooms. Some of the one bedroom apartments have been recently re-furbished.

When we travelled in February the weather was cold on some days and the apartments have heating/air-conditioning you can control yourself. This made the apartments very warm which was needed on some nights! The heating is controlled separately in the living room to the bedrooms so if required you can leave the heating in the bedrooms on all night.

The heating broke one morning during our stay, I reported it to reception and it was fixed within a couple of hours.

Towels were changed 6 days out of 7 and the beds were changed every 3 days. the times the maid came varied from 9.30 in the morning to 1.15 in the afternoon and all were very friendly. No maid service on Sunday.

The indoor pool was small but as warm as a bath and our children loved it. The outdoor pool is large with areas for small children and water of varying depths.

One warning though - if you are not on the ground or first floor be prepared to carry all your suitcases up one or 2 flights of stairs, so be aware when booking if this is a problem to ask for a floor that is accessible by ramp.
When it rains some of the floors and stairs can be slippy.

All in all this was a great apartment, if you like plenty of space and like me like to be warm, want to be in the centre of things but dont like noise, these are the apartments for you. plenty of wardrobe space but take more hangers, plenty of drawers, and a hairdryer provided.

Kitchen equipment doesnt include scissors so take your own, but includes coffee maker, kettle, microwave oven, small 3 ring cooker with oven, plenty of plates cups and saucers and glasses.

I would return to these apartments again for the space we had as a family of 4 alone.

The apartment was a good size, clean and well furnished with a TV, kettle, full sized freestanding oven (if you want it), fridge, microwave, etc. You also got 2 movies shown through your TV every night, nice to chill to before getting ready for a night out.

The apartment block does look a little dated, but that's not to say it was shabby. We got fresh towels every day, but the bed linen was only changed twice in 7 days - which is acceptable at home I guess, but when your hot and sweaty all the time, I think it needs changing more often.

The air conditioning was stuck to one temperature and the system was clearly quite old - but it worked and the temperature was just right for me - not too cold. It was enough to get a good night sleep under the sheets - in fact I only used it half the time anyway (always gives me a sore throat).

All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, although our Rep was not particularly interested (Libra) and even got all the dates wrong on her paperwork. Clearly she was just topping up her pension, and didn't really care for the job.

The location was fantastic, just a few minutes walk to the main restaurants and bars in the "Bar Street" area, and a few minutes more to the promenade road. We didn't suffer with any noise problems at all, not even from the pub attached to the apartment block. There was also a good supermarket across from the apartments with nealry everything you could need.

The pool was a good size and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone to use (may just have been the time of year we went). Again, another minor point was that the pool needed a refurb and there were some tiles missing near the water jets - don't let that put you off, it was clean. It is not a heated pool, so was a bit cold first thing (again maybe time of year).

All in all, we had a great time and inlight of the above comments would rate Sofianna 7/10. I would be happy to stay there again - probably more for the location than anything.

I guess it depends how much you paid, we paid

Our daughter works in Paphos and so we have visited Paphos several times. This time we were looking for cheaper accomodation than previous visits. We got a good deal from Libra and have to say that we got good value.

These apts have been re furbished to a high standard and are centrally located. They are quiet and comfortable.

Didn't use the pool or see any entertainment but if you want a good standard central base to explore Paphos and Cyprus these fit the bill. The reception area and bar are very chic and although the building is obviously getting on once inside you wouldn't know.

We would not hesitate to return.

We travelled in August and found the apartments very clean and recently refurbished. This came as a pleasant surprise as we booked last minute and was not expecting too much.

The rooms were cleaned 6 days out of 7 and the towels changed daily. Our sheets were changed 2 a week.

The pool was cool but in the middle of August who cares also a few tiles missing but this isn't a problem.

The location is great very close to what is needed but far enough away so there is no noise.

All in all we had a great time and would go to Cyprus again and stay in these apartments.
