The hotel took the full amount of £170 from our account on 2nd. March.
On 11th April Booking.com sent me an email to say that the hotel couldn't honour our booking and that the booking had been cancelled but no mention of our £170.
I tried to phone the hotel but couldn't get an answer so I contacted booking.com.
I asked them to contact the hotel for me to arrange for my refund but they said they couldn't contact the hotel as it had closed down!!!!!!!
They did say that if I sent proof that the money had been taken out of my account they would refund the money. I then emailed the hotel and got an answer. They said that refunds were being started on 12th. April and the money would be in my account within the next 3 to 5 days.
I have waited patiently and no refund. I have emailed the hotel again and this time they are not replying and Booking.com are now telling me that have contacted the hotel and if I don't receive my money within the next 15 days I will then have to send a copy of my bank statement.
I have the proof but I think that people should be warned about this hotel. It is still advertised on Booking.coms website. So we never actually got to stay there even though we have paid.

Hotel tip: Dont book it unless you are happy to just allow a hotel to keephold of your money and not offer you a room!!!!!!!
