There was a lot of litter on the beach and a considerableamount of evidense of fly tipping in the surrounding hills, there seems to be no pride in what is a very beautiful area.
There are a verity of bars shops and restaurents in this quite small resort.
A nice beach with plenty of loungers and parasols but this is marred by the litter on the beach.

The resort was clean and tidy, a very scenic area of Corfu and very pretty when the sun was shining (which was very rare)!

There was no entertainment in the resort mainly restaurants and bars. There was 1 nightclub which seemed to be closed. All bars and restaurants were in good condition and had great views of the beach. Theodores and the Mexican were 2 of the best places to eat. The Greek people are all lovely and go out of there way to help you.

The beach standard was good although the amount of wasps pestering people was unbelievable. Apparently this was due to grape season!

The village of Agios Gordis was very quiet and lovely. There is just one street leading uphill to the bus-stop, taxi rank, phone etc with tavernas, supermarkets, a few tourist shops, excusion office and car and scooter hire.

The road stops when it gets to the beach and then there is a boardwalk in either direction along the beach to reach more tavernas and some accommodation. There are several little back alleyways leading to villas etc. There are sunbeds for hire on the sandy beach.

The beach is long and sandy. The only thing to spoil it for me was the fantastic amounts of cig butts washed up on the tide. It was disgusting. Why can't people put them in a bin. Some of the sunbed renters even provided ashtrays and bins. We paid €8 or €6 the second time for 2 beds and brolly outside Elena's Taverna. We were given a free small plate of fruit when we had lunch there.

If you do not want the beach there are several places with pools in the village. You can use the pools and sunbeds free, just buy a drink from the bar or have lunch.
If you like gyros pita at lunch time, lots of places do them. Yummy!!

Argo did pita gyros and large cola for €2.20. We never had a bad meal and ate at Alex in the Garden, Alexis, Argo, SeaBreeze (twice, try the soutsoukakia for starters), Zephyros, also very good indeed and Sebastians which was very nice but I'm not convinced it's better than the previous 2, just dearer and they never brought any little pots of garlic butter or spread to have with bread while you wait which the other 2 did. Nevertheless we enjoyed the meal and listening to the bouzouki and guitar players.

We enjoyed the Greek night at Sea Breeze as well. There are chinese and mexican restaurants in Ag.G but we didn't try them. The cost for 2 courses with wine for 2 people varied between €27 - €33. Still very good value.

I can't understand anyone who goes half board to Greece as the food is so wonderful and all the tavernas do Greek specialities as well as plenty of meat/fish from the grill or pizza or salad.

There was not much in the way of entertainment in the resort it's just a case of having a nice meal and a drink. Several of the bars had Sky sports on. There was also 2 'dancing bars' but one was closed as it was September. We didn't want that anyway.

As we had gone to chill for a cheap week we didn't do any trips except to get the local bus into Corfu Town. They run 5 times a day and there is a timetable at the bus stop. You just get on and a conductor comes round for the fare which is €1.80 each way. Just had a walk round for a couple of hours and then back to Ag. Gordios as it was raining. Shame really as the old town and harbour, forts etc looked well worth exploring.

The airport was a bit of an overcrowded nightmare on the way back but you expect this in Greece. Just take a large bottle of water and a chill pill. The reps here were very well organised and did their best in a difficult situation. Bill the Rep for Ag. Gordios also deserves a mention. He was friendly and helpful without being overly pushy with trips, phone cards etc.

We always just get a €4 phonecard from the supermarket and use it in the cardphones to ring home. They last for a quite a few minutes and don't involve putting in endless pin numbers etc. You just dial the 00 44 then UK number minus first 0.

All in all a place we would hope to return to and would stay at Dina again.

The village is just a tourist place, with loads of tavernas and supermarkets, and a few gift shops. It is jam-packed solid with traffic most of the time.

There is one cash machine (use it early, it is only filled once a day) near the middle of the bach road, hidden in the shade. Look out for a red cross surgery sign, near the pedestrian crossing (which is ingnored by drivers and pedestrians alike).

There are some great beach-side tavernas with good prices and stunning views (we used Zephyros, about 2/3rds of the way along the boardwalk from the Agios Gordios hotel to the village).

This was truly excellent. Having holidayed in Crete and Cyprus in the past three years, Corfu and especially this resort was the best! If you want a lively lads or ladettes holiday, this is NOT for you. If you want a beautiful town, gorgeous beach and nice restaurants on the sea front, this IS for you.The local restaurants were all good. Would highly recommend the 'sea food' restaurant on the beach and the 'lemon tree' on the road down to the beach. Evening meal around 50-60 euros for 2 courses for 4 people including drinks.
The beach was excellent. Sandy and decent waves for added fun!
We hired a car for the fortnight and wished we hadn't. We used it about 4 times and could have hired by the day. We took a trip around the north of the island and saw that we had picked the best resort by far. We also went to Aqualand (highly recommended, the best water park I have been to) and Corfu town, (really nice and very old and quaint). We also visited another resort, but again, not as good as this one. So, if you want a quiet self catering holiday based around the beach, look no further. We would definitely go back.

This resort is brilliant, no loud nightclubs, very laid back. The shopkeepers are superb, very friendly, one even advised me to get some natural yoghurt for my sunburn instead of going to the chemist for some expensive cream ( so yes I did buy some things from her & at reasonable prices) Stevens on the Hill is a superb restaurant, very reasonable priced & the staff are brilliant. This resort is a credit to Corfu.

Fabulous resort! Wonderful views and friendly locals. It is a very quiet and restful resort, almost isolated because of the location. There are only two roads into the resort, one goes off into the hills and villages and the other is the main route to Corfu Town.

It is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty walking because of the steep hill out of the village. There are amazing views at the top though and there are some lovely walks to be had around the area.
Any bird watchers would be pleased to know that are lots of birds to be seen too.

Some of the apartments are located higher up and therefore is not very good for walking back up after going to the supermarkets and restaurants in the middle of the village.

I would seriously consider this when booking accommodation in this resort. Buses are good to Corfu Town and leave on a regular basis and are very cheap.

There are buses to other parts of the island from Corfu Town bus terminal but cars and bikes are available to rent in Ag. Gordis very easily. There are some wonderful restaurants in Ag. Gordis and not expensive either. All in all a very lovely resort. All visitors seem to have a very respectful attitude to this wonderful part of Corfu as it is very special.

There are plenty restaurants in this resort. We liked one called, The Lemon Tree service was good and the owners friendly.

The only drawback in this village is that it has no chemist and we were bitten by the mozzies and had run out of Afterbite. We got it in a supermarket but it wasn't the same.

When you walk down the main street the are no shortage of shops for people on self -catering and the fruit shop was brilliant and open very late.
