if going to this hotel i would reccomend that you spend as little time as possible there, the food is absoloutely shocking they serve slop on a plate. the swimming pool is clean but full of giant wasps and there are not enough sun chairs for everyone, there is a lovely beach about 5 minutes away where me and my girlfriend went everyday and they have all the water sports on and its beautiful.
the entertainment is horrible, while we were there they had 3 karaoke nights in a week, a greek dancing night where they couldnt dance, bingo night and then the rest of the nights they had nothing on because it was a "rest day".
the all inclusive bar serves hot dogs, pizza and cheese toasties for snacks and i would reccomend the pizza. they have this guy at the all inclusive bar who's a complete idiot and your allowed two drinks at a time and one item of food, there is a nice czech guy at the bar who cracks you up and is a nice guy.
the room was clean and sheets were cleaned everyday and was a good standard.
the weekly bbq was good but that is all i went down for in the whole week, the breakfast menu is cold eggs, mini sausages which are hot dogs and bacon that isn't pig bacon.

We were in the new block we were very lucky. We saw a room in the old block. We had hot water all of the time it was in good order it was on par with a 4*. But the old block had no hot water when the people complaned to the owener he said he would get the problem fixed he never did. The shower room was very small and not very clean. The light switches were not fixed to the wall as well as the light fixing. If were put into this room i would have not stayed. So if you do go make sure that you get into the new block.(3 people did leave the hotel before there holiday ended all from the old block). The air con - we paid 95 for 2 weeks. The pool was clean but cold there are not enough sun beds what sun beds there most are broken with only 5 parasols for the 300 people. The food was good from what i can make out is that the chefs do a good job with the budget they have to work from we ate at the hotel most nights and quite enjoyed the food. Breakfast was the same every day hard fryed eggs poor sausages bakebeens the very cheapest. The allinclusive bar was dirty the drink dispences had a build op of dirt on them from where the wasps had been landing on them wasps were in the sauger. At dinner you could get a beer on the allinclusive in a plastic cup if you paid for your drinks you got a glass not plastic this i feel is to save the owener more money. I went to the pool side bar for a drink and was told to go to the hatch why could i not get a drink for the pool bar it was the same beer. I have never been a hotel where you cant go to a any bar and get drink as all inclusive.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Telemachos. Very friendly staff, good food (including great assistance from the chef at each meal to avoid dietary problems). The all-inclusive deal was great. The up-hill walk may be a problem for some people, but the steep part is only short.

we have just arrived back home and looked back at our stay in the telemachos hotel. there were two families in our party and we had three rooms between us. this is our evaluation. the old part of the hotel is very dowdy and dingy but acceptable. i have been to worse hotels here in england. we were given two rooms in the old hotel at first but we asked to be moved to the new part and this was done without fuss.
we had clean bed linen every other day and the room was cleaned and beds made each day.we had a problem with the air conditioning and this was resolved quickly.
at first some of the staff appeared quite abrupt and not too friendly but this soon dissolved and we were greeted with smiles and thank you's.
the pool area was cleaned every morning and the pool was cleaned either at early evening or early morning each day.
the all inclusive bar shut at 9.30 but if you timed it right you could have drinks lasting you till later.the staff work really hard and they will greet you friendly no matter what the time! i made it my aim to talk to the staff so that they knew me. this worked and my family were always greeted well.
we read the reports about the hotel and we went with low expectation but we were pleasantly surprised at what we got.
the Telemachos hotel does have its down falls. the steep hill to get to it was a bit of a bind so we kept that activity limited to twice a day once down and once up any more and it would be difficult. but we were surprised that after a couple of days the hill did not appear that bad.
the old part of the hotel is the worse part so go for the new part.
the service was the same no matter whether i went to the nice bar or the serving hatch. the difference being that at the nice bar i had to get the drinks from the cold cabinets and give them to the barman who opened them and charged me 2 euros.
your holiday is what you make it don't go to the telemachos if you expect to be pampered. you pay for what you get and you get treated the way you treat others.i witnessed people moaning and complaining and going off on tantrum. who spoiled their holiday? they did. they thought about the bad things and in return they got a bad holiday.so go to the Telemachos and be happy and expect what you are paying for. the Olympic holiday rep (Sadie)was great so if you are reading this Sadie the hall family say thank you.
the biggest and most hated thing on our holiday was the wasps and the bees. those i won't miss. but no one can control these creatures we just have to live with them.
the food in the hotel was decent and a varied menu each day we ate 3 meals a day unless were out and about. the hotdogs/ pizzas/ toastie sandwiches served at the all inclusive hatch were great and my kids kept going back for more.
would i return to the telemachos hotel? no, why? i have never revisited any place i have been to because i want to go to different places and have different experiences.

Food was always soaked in olive oil, anyone with dicky stomach would not be able to stomach it.

Hotel quiet clean, rooms never cleaned onlybeds made, towels changed once aweek if you where lucky. Hotel was situated at the top of a big hill, and I have osteoarthritis in both knees yet was not told about the hill by the travel agents.

Staff some where very rude to geusts especially all in clusive. Friends where told your been greedy for keep going up to the inclusive bar for food or drinks, got very snappy when asked for sunbrellas.

There was no where near anough sunbeds, for everyone alot of people had to share or just use white chairs if any available.

Pool? The pool was so cloudy you could not even see the bottem at the shallow end never mind the deep end, one day on our first week detergant was put in the pool by mistake when geusts complained they were told if you dont like it dont go in.

Around pool area tables were never cleared away until seven oclock when pool shuts? This is the only place where iv been to and pool closes at seven, when youv been in that heat alday youneed apool open longer.

Due to tables not been cleaned there were hundreds of wasps and many children were been stung, agian when staff were confronted about the porblem they response was its only nature?.

Enterainment for children none exsistant told by travel agents theres a kids club thats why we chose that hotel, but when we got there there was no club, that was realy disappointing for our little girl as she looks forwards to the clubs?so all she had was a pool for two weeks.

Corfu is a nice island alot of nice places we seen on bus tour? But I dont think we,l be going to greece again due to the we were treat in the hotel by the staff and poor quality of the hotel.

Noooooo no no never again, all the negative feedback must say something, I read all this before travelling but booked anyway.

Bad Points:

Everything, the pool was like Pea soup you couldn't see the bottom not to mention there was ahem a floater of excrement one day and not a childs, the all inc bit was smothered in wasps due to the poor staff overworked and unable to clear tables, not enough sunbeds around 50 for over 200 guests and a few parasols not good in 40 degree sun, no happy hour as stated by olympic, the rep didn't want to know and we witnessed him using foul language to a girl who had tried to cancel a trip but he was on airport duy the day of the trip. Was told it was on a slight incline, when in fact its cardiac hill in the heat its exhausting getting to the top and we are only middle aged. Management rude and offensive, food foul, waiters foul and abbusive one particular with gelled back hair offered some young women we met to go to the rear of their apartments to view his 20cm penis. Eat only two evening meals and a bbq, rest forget it, pool bar weak drinks, spent 48 euros on whiskies and went to bed sober, stick to the bottled lager they can't meddle with.

We spent more time at the Chandris hotel group on the beach and were treated like royalty, spent a lot of money with them for first class service which the back street hotel could not offer or cope with.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel in 2008 and will never go back again we payed for the best room which was at a cost but well worth it, after talking to some of the holidaymakers who stayed in the standard rooms.the food was bad even though we payed all inclusive we ate out every night i recommend erics bar in dassia, eric himself said to us he gets a lot of bussiness from holidaymakers who stay in this hotel.

most of the sunbeds were limited or broke but you couldnt sunbathe because of the wasp attacks everyday you had to rush your food and drinks at the pool snackbar when i told one of the hotel staff he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders,me and my partner both were stung,we ended up going to beach everyday which was lovley.if you have booked this hotel i reccomend you change hotels.

we too have just arrived back from back from the hotel from hell also known as Tilemachos hotel. Like many others on this site we also arrived just after 6am, on arrival we were told 'to sit and wait' while each member of the coach party were booked in individually. Our stay started off badly as we refused to pay 50 euros for air conditioning so were told that we would be put in one room for the night but would be moved the next day. We managed an hours sleep before getting up for breakfast at 8, feeling grubby I decided to get a shower first, what a joke, as the shower in question had to be held whilst trying to wash underneath it.
Breakfast was a shambles, we were told off for helping ourselves to coffee, apparently 2 cups is the limit! After breakfaast we were requested to pay the 50 euros again, but again refused. We were then shown a room which was far too big and eventually got shown the room in which we were apparently booked originally. This room was FILTHY with piles of hair and dust on the floor, the wardrobe door was hanging on by 2 hinges and the least said about the bathroom the better. only to say I have never come out of a shower feeling dirtier than when I went in, in fact the during the whole of our week we only managed 2 hot showers! Complaints to the manager were met with a grin and shrugged shoulders. Our sheets and towels were changed twice but on the 2nd change we were only given 2 hand towels as they had run out of bath ones. The food was disgusting and we lived on bread, cereal, peaches and yoghurt. In the end we used the hotel as a base despite being all inclusive, ate out every lunchtime and avoided going back to the hotel til as late as possible. The final day we were told we had to be out of our rooms by midday despite not being picked up for the airport until 1.30 the following morning, we were told we could shower and wash in the toilet block but had to use our own towels, we couldnt even go and sit in the lounge area and watch tv as the doors to this were locked at 9.30 after dinner.Corfu itself is a beautiful island and the people very friendly just dont go anywhere near this hotel!!!!
