On arrival in the middle of the night we where turned away from the hotel as there was a problem with over- booking we were sent to the Princess Sun. We were told that the hotel was a 4 star I would rate it as a 2 star max
we were told that we would have to spend three nights at this hotel.
When I phoned direct holidays they blamed it on med hotels. When I phoned them they blamed it on hotel Maris. When I asked to see the manager to sort this over-booking problem out he was nowhere to be seen for 2 days. We were one of ten couples in the same situation
I felt sorry for the holiday rep she said she has to deal with this problem every new arrival so beware you could pay four 5 star ultra but half holiday could be 2/3 star.
No problem with rep she was the most helpful person there.
The food was nice.
The drinks seemed watered down what ever you drank
the pool was nice.
the entertainment was ok but night-life was quiet.
beware of the reception staff they were rude abusive and lied and it just felt like you were speaking to a brick wall all the rest of the staff you could not fault they where very friendly.
Poor bus servie would highly recommend a car.
I dont think I would like to return to this this hotel again but Rhodes itself is a very beatuiful place to visit

Our party found the hotel very welcoming. The room was very impressive, spotlessly clean, clean towels and sheets everyday.
Mini bar filled without fuss every other day.
The main restaurant offer a wide selection of foods and desserts from different cultures. Offering hot and cold meals. The bar serving afternoon tea, was well run and offered snacks throughout the day. With afternoon tea and cakes, we were thouroghly spoilt for choice.
All bars served drinks, which were easily available. Opposed to popular belief, the waiter at the pool bar was friendly and efficient. We never had to wait to be served and drinks were readily available for our whole party without each of us having to collect our own drink.
Hotel staff on the whole were nice and friendly and eager to please. Although I found the reception staff who are the first port of call to be somewhat noncholant.
Entertainment staff were excellent. Although the constant demand for players of water polo did get slightly wearing.
All in all we thouroughly enjoyed our two weeks and we would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

On arrival at the hotel, it appeared much grander than the website photos. Reception staff were helpful but we found that the mini bar in the room had not been filled. We were very thirsty by the time we arrived at 5am but this was felt to be a minor letdown.
I cannot praise the animation staff (Toto, Rico, James and Matteo) enough for the fun they generated with ourselves and my 16yr old dayghter and her friend. it was these members of staff that really made our holiday one to remember. We do not usually like to get involved with poolside entertainment but found the team enthusiastic, warm and welcoming.
All in all, everyone seemed friendly, staff and guests. The biggest let down was lack of sunbeds, we had to get up early (at 6am) to secure a bed and our towels were often moved before we arrived by the pool.
I found the choice of food limiting but expected this as we've been on greek all inclusive holidays before.
I would definately recommend this holday to anyone looking for a lively yet relaxing holiday. We will almost definately return next year.

Just returned from Rodos Maris Hotel had a wonderful time only complaint was you had to be up very early to get a sunbed. Sorry but thats not my kind of holiday we sat on chairs until eventually a sunbed became available often around about 12 am.
I must add that the American life guard was very helpful in finding you one!
Entertainment people were fantastic !!!!! Best I have ever seen.
Staff on reception were as helpful as possible.
Visiting the taverna is a must, book early, the day before to ensure a table.
One greek lady member of staff there is the most friendly person you could wish to meet one night she brought us drinks we had not ordered ( the drinks we had been drinking all night ) and informed us that the bar was about to close and she did not wish us to be with out a drink.

This hotel was a pleasure to go to and i would definately recomend it to any person who wants a relaxing or adventurous holiday.
The animation team were the best i have ever had. Matteo was especially really good he involved everyone and made all of them feel welcome! rico was also a pleasure to talk to.
the only bad point of this holiday is that i had to go home!

My holiday to this hotel was great especially when I met the animation team as they were absolutely great especially Rico and Mateo.
I wish they could have stayed in that hotel as I would have went there again in a couple of month.

Having just returned from Hotel Rhodes Village, I had to let you know that the hotel is superb. After reading some of the comments regarding the hotel I went with an open mind. The hotel is very clean, and the staff work very hard.
The food is excellent although I would recommend anybody going to lose 1 stone first. My husband and myself both put on 8lb! Try the cheesecake - wonderful!
The resort is very remote, but enough there to enjoy yourself. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, where there is a beach bar and cafe for you to use.
I would recommend the hotel and we would go again, so don't take any notice of any bad reports, and enjoy!

We found the hotel to be more or less just what we wanted. The only complaints we have are that the pool table had no chalk until the last day, tennis courts were not floodlit as advertised (when we queried this at 8pm one night we were told we had to pay 15 euros to have the floodlights on!).
We also had to pay for the hire of the raquets.Diet drinks were not readily available in some of the bars which was disappointing.We found the rooms to be clean and tidy (not exactly 5 star accommodation but acceptable), the bar staff friendly, the food excellent including the taverna, and the entertainment very good although not quite what we expected!For the money we paid for this holiday we cannot complain.
I think also we were fortunate in that we took this holiday at the end of the season and it was not too busy. I should imagine the service would be not as good when it is busier. We would go there again.

The hotel facilities were excellent, with the food quality and range being very good (although somewhat repetitive after 14 nights!). The staff were efficient and, in the main, friendly. Whilst I would not class this to be a 5* hotel, I did not pay 5* prices, and I do believe we received excellent value for money during our stay. The resort itself is extremely limited and I would recommend car hire to get out and about.
The tiles around the pool are very slippery, when your feet are wet, and it is important to take care, particularly with small children.
I would not hesitate in recommending this holiday as a good, value for money place to go, and find it surprising how many customers have previously posted negative feedback.

We had a fantastic time in Rodos Maris, the food was the best I have had abroad, with no worries of feeling a little bit dodgy the next day. However didn't rate the taverna much, stuck to the main food hall. Not at all boring lots of choice and having been a chef I was very surprised not to be slightly critical about it.
The staff were great, on the second day one of our party dislocated his shoulder and they really went out of their way to help. Friendly bar and waiting staff, (considering we were nearing end of season they had probably had just about enough of holiday makers).
We pretty much made our own entertainment but there was lots going on if you were not in a crowd. Rooms were a little basic, but we didn't spend much time there anyway.

Beach bar a must, we had a cracking time there, very well looked after and the sea was refreshing, a bit stony, but hey compared to English beaches it was a dream.
Not much surrounding the hotel, but then there was lots of trips to go on, and the bus running past regularly so you always had the option if you didn't want to hire a car.
In my view if you couldn't have fun there then you just didn't want to.
