We atayed in Ahia Paraskevi / Platanias, the resort is lovely, there are enough restaurants / bars for a weeks stay as we ate there every night, Jimmy's next to Panos apartments is the best food i think i have ever had and the staff are so friendly. Resort is clean and tidy, beach is amazing (sand/shingle - so clear sea) although there are so many in the area we had to visit others like Koulkounaries. We walked to A.Paraskevi to Skiathos Town would not reccommend it in 45 degree heat, with huge Mossie bites although it is not that far approx 4miles. My favourite place on Skiathos was the Bourtzi off skiathos town, shaded, peaceful and beautiful. also go on the catermaran cruise its a great day out.

The resort was a beautiful place with very friendly people and shop of every kind. The beach was brilliant and the standard of cleanliness fantastic. It is a place we will definitely be visiting again.

Good for all ages, good family place and a good to relax for young people! If your looking for a holiday that has a great nightlife for young people then this is possibly not the best place to go.
There are three main clubs in this resort for young people that are very good but can cost up to 10euros for entry.
These apartments are truelly fantastic they are a minute walk to the pool and a two minute walk to the beach and beach bar although the sun loungers are 4 euros each.
The resort itself is very laid back and relaxed and staff in the apartments themselves are very helpful and polite!

The Resort had plenty of places to eat and drink. We especially liked Panos's Pool Bar for a late Evening Drink.

I thouht platanias was great lots of things to do lots of lovely nice restaurants and lots of nice people

The resort was clean and pleasant to be in. Entertainment in the resort was centred around restaurants and crazy golfs. I can't remember seeing any bars or nightclubs, so it's probably a resort better for families rather than friends. The main street is very busy at night, but we found that quite nice. If we wanted to go to a quieter restaurant we could walk up a hill (very steep in parts) and we found a few pleasant ones. An extensive number of beach shops are there, as well as souvenir shops.
The beach was sandy, nice and long and wide. The only downside we found was that huge waves caused the lifeguard to put up a red flag for about a week and a half in august - bit of a pain!
Overall, the resort was nice and i would visit it again. However, we always like to try new places!

Stayed near Acladies Skiathos. One main road on Island with good (though sometimes crowded) bus service.
Pleanty of accessible beaches, mostly with small taverners.
Friendly and helpful locals - a real delight.

Beaches at Kolios & Ag. Paraskevi clean, not like others we went to (Big Banana, Vromolimos etc). Kolios beach especially attractive and v. suitable for all ages. But we thought paying 8 Euros for an umbrella & 2 loungers excessive (the same all over the island, however many hours you stay on a beach). On the first day we bought our own umbrella at 7.50 Euros & saved lots of money! Entertainment consists of eating/drinking in tavernas, which was all we wanted - must go to Skiathos Town for anything livelier. Good choice of tavernas. In mid-Aug. the road is busy & it's not very nice walking along it, day or night, with traffic passing very near. Also the buses are very busy & often don't stop because full up (esp.going towards Skiathos Town late afternoon until about 9 p.m.)
