We visited this hotel in September 2008. The rooms were smaller than expected however we learned that all hotel rooms in lido are like this. The rooms were spotless. The staff were friendly. The food if you are going is fab. We got a buffet style breakfast and for dinner we got a buffet salad, a starter, a choice of main meal and a desert. The beach is a very very small walk from the hotel. There is also a local supermarket next door. There was two pools a kids and adult. When we went it was quiet and peaceful. Th hotel is next to the main shopping street which is also packed withs pubs and restraunts. You can also hire bikes from the hotel for 2 euros an hour.

I was just looking for a report on a different hotel and came upon the American with no comments, well I feel I have to comment as we had a brilliant time here.
A lot to do with it was the company we met, the barman who was fun, and being so close to Venice, the most magic place and easy to get to.
Right near to beach all sand and v nice, food was good we ticked of on menu each evening what we wanted for dinner next day, breakfast was buffet, not a great deal of choice but fine, if, like my husband not a great pasta fan, you could ask for some thing else and staff were very helpful.
We loved it here, and people we met there have been again and again, so I would recommend it.
