We arrived in the early morning to the hotel and we were booked into the Plaza side of the hotel. We paid extra for a balcony with side sea view room and where amazed by the views when we awoke in the morning.

Breakfasts were really good with lots of choices, cooked breakfast, cheeses, fruit, breads and cereals.
Meals on a evening where very nice, and they always have English dishes. I am a vegetarian and they gave me a menu on a morning of a choice of around five dishes.

The views from the rooftop pool are amazing and you could sit up the for hours watching the world go by.
The roof top pool also has a bar which serves 'snacks' (portion sizes where big.

The rooftop bar is also open till 12.30am and has entertainment on a wed to Sunday night. The inside bar was closed when we were there but it was warmer enough to stay out.

They are many bars near the hotel and a walk along the sea front is lovely on a night. We stayed in Malta when the towns where having festivals going on so there was entertainment always going on in the streets and fireworks. A very romantic town, with brilliant views, we we be returning.

Would recommend the hotel to anyone

We stayed at the regency side of this hotel on b&b basis.By paying extra we got a room with balcony looking over towards St.Julians bay and was worth every penny to wake each morning with such a view.

I did hear somebody moaning their room looked out onto another wall but then what is the room for ,surely only a base to sleep in - if not pay the extra as we did!

The room was cleaned evey day and beds made up.
We only had breakfast meals but if they were anything to go by you can't go wrong here. Full english, cerial or many types of breads and rolls along with an array of beverages.

After sampling most of this we found we couldn't eat untill evening came round.

The restuarant is on the 7th floor and is very spacious offering wonderful views to the front over the bays.

At ground floor level you have Caras cafe bar one side and the magnificent Mezzo restuarant beneath the regency. Both are open to non resident aswell as resident. Mezzo being one of the finest restuarants you could ever dine within and the host/ownwer Edward and his family being very charming hosts.

Cafe bars right across the road 'Peppis and the mariners'.
The pool is on the 8th floor/roof,because it gets so hot up there the water does feel cold at first-take a while to get into it and its heaven.

The rooftop cafe area is being rebuilt at the moment so there are no snacks available up there but this cannot be looked at as a problem.

There is a small beach opposite the hotel behind Peppis cafe bar and to both sides there are plenty of places to lay and sun bathe.

We only tried the entertainment once as we were so busy out enjoying the walks and views but it is typical hotel entertainment and as so is okay.

The location is excellent. Bus stops for either direction right outside the hotel.

The staff were polite and very helpful to us.
We would have no hesitation in going back to this hotel and to be honest because of its location wouldnt want to go elsewhere.

We have stayed in this hotel for the last 5 years. Initially we stayed half board, but now prefer to go bed and breakfast, and yes the hotel is food is ok but you get what you pay for and there are loads of restaurants close by. Pastamania is brilliant not to mention the cakes at Cara's. Fantastic location breathtaking views over bay.

Hotel staff nice and friendly always willing to help and pool bar staff equally as helpful, can't imagine going anywhere else really.

My marks have been based on what I would expect from a 3 star hotel and the cost of the holiday. After reading other reports regarding the food here I was prepared to spend money eating out, which in the end we did not do even once.

My wife who is a vegetarian was given a form every day at breakfast with a choice of 8 meals to choose from for the evening, something we have not got in 4 star plus hotels.

Hotel ideal as a base for sightseeing as most buses pass by here.
Have only given 2 marks for entertainment as we did not bother to see what it was like, so can't really comment ( singer + pianst 2/3 times a week ) Peferred instead to use small local bar called the Nappa at top of side street between the 2 hotels. Would go back.

When we first booked our holiday we booked a last minute cancellation with no named accomodation, bit daunting at first with having our 13 month old child with us and the first time we had being to Malta or anywhere abroad for about 6 years.

We arrived at the hotel at about 10pm and was allocated our room, a sea view with mini bar, air conditioning, bath and shower, and balcony, also a cot had being placed in the room as requested on booking, very clean and wonderful view over the bay.

First morning when going up to breakfast you could have cereal or typical continental breakfast free, we opted every morning for the optional full English which you pay for 1.50ml about

My daughter and I stayed for a long weekend in April 2004 and really enjoyed our weekend. We stayed there several years ago but this break was even more enjoyable. I, hopefully will be there in four weeks time for a 2 week stay.

The staff were helpfull and courteous, the location of the hotel is convenient for sea swimming, shopping and sight seeing. Recommended.

I have stayed at this hotel for over 15 years. Would reccommend it to anyone. Only thing I do not think is as good as in past years is the new buffet system and the choice of main courses. please return to pre 2004 standards. All staff at the hotel are very efficient and friendly. The manager Mr John Attard has a hands on approach and is always available to talk to. Entertainment is poor it's been the same for nearly ten years.
