To Quote a waiter in a restaurant in sliema "Malta is dirty and needs a face lift".

Sliema is looking a bit worn out and all the building works at the moment spoils the look of the place, we could see no less than 11 cranes from our hotel.

When you walk along the promenade you have to watch what you step in as cleaning up after your dog still has`nt caught on.

The only other pests are the time share tricksters posing to be Malta tourist board reps thay have badges and a questionare and a hand full of prize winning tickets.

There is no beach at sliema but plenty of places to sit along the prom ie park bench style seating or you can sit in one of the bars or restaurants and watch the world go by.

Sliema was prety down at the waterfront. It is about 2km walk to St Julien and gives you a number of photo opportunities. Buses run regularly as does water boat to Valetta.

Maybe not the best resport for all the young guys and girl...but those who wish to experience St Julien but retreat to quiteness may like this area.

Sliema is a resort which is run down and badly in need of a facelift, however that would mean even more building work having to take place and there is more than enough at moment to entertain you....there are notices everywhere asking dog owners to clean up after there animals, well sorry to say its not working and the promenade is a danger zone for you!!!no beaches and no entertainment

A very friendly and pleasant resort, so convenient to travel everywhere by bus and ferry. Plenty to see and do.

There was a distinct lack of evening entertainment or bars. Good bus service to other parts of the island!

Too early in the season to get a true opinion of the resort. What we did see was very clean and well kept. Great for bus routes and ferry.

The resort was really good the hotel looks over the bay of st julians which is lovely.
Steve in the marina bar across the road is a really nice guy.
And the plough and anchor a few doors down is great for a quiet drink, If you want nightlife head for paceville through st julians.
