My wife and I flew to Cyprus in october 2008 through expedia.co.uk. We flew into Larnaca. We found the family run business very good - everybody was very friendly and helpful.Staff are extremely friendly and do their utmost to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. Rooms are well furnished and the gardens look beautiful with a mixture of flowers,shrubs and fruit trees.

we have been to riverside for the last 5 years and have booked again for 2009
staff are fantastic the gardens accomodation and surroundings are great we always book direct and have had really good service in terms of airport pick up /drop off, pool is olympic size and clean and well looked after a car hire service is available at resonable rates and cars are well maintained and clean would have no hesitation in recommending riverside to anyone who is looking for a good place to stay in north cyprus

I have stayed in Riverside Holiday Village on 8 trips & always use their car hire & transfer system as they are both very reliable. The staff go out of their way to help you,and can be sure to cheer you up if you are having a"bad" day. The grounds are very well kept, with plenty of flowers etc.As for the pool facilities, they range from slides for tiny tots to really big slides for teenagers(both separate),the adult pool is Olympic size, with sunloungers round about. For the fair skinned their are shady spots to take a breather " out of the sun".The area for breakfast- overlooking the mountains is peaceful & a lovely place to come alive, whilst the food,served buffet style is a good start to the day. I am going again this year!

Every year for the past 10years my father and I have had a "boys" holiday at Riverside. I think that says it all - if it was bad we would be gone!
As we are walkers we tend to go in the autumn so it is not too hot.
The staff there are now old friends and absolutely brilliant, hugs and kisses on arrival.
There are 3 pools 1 indoor, 1 with slides. Satellite TV in the bar if you need to watch sky or whatever. They do car hire at good rates and if you have problems they are very good at getting to you quickly. THe sauna is pretty good. We do our own cooking because we go to the local markets and love the fresh produce. There are a load of facilities we have not tried horse riding, tennis etc.
THe hotel is away from Girne (Kyrenia) which is an advantage as it is not so noisy at night although you have to travel to get in. Taffic in Girne is heavy in the centre.
We are going again this year.

This is our 6th visit to Riverside and everything was as good as usual. The staff could not be more helpful from the cleaning staff (hugs and kisses from them on arrival and departure) to the car hire (out very quickly to repair a burst tyre) to reception and pool staff. Ali is brilliant at organising everything from travel and transfers to getting you a good room in a prime location.
Riverside is also an excellent location for exploring both East towards Karpaz and West to Yedidalga (great place to stop and eat (Karabetcha on the seafront)) or over the excellent road to Lefko

Riverside Holiday Village offers different standards of accommodation and we chose a superior villa. This was very spacious and on two floors. Bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a lounge with 3 piece suite and kitchen downstairs. Our villa cleaned with fresh towels and sheets on a daily basis.
Riverside occupies quite a large site and our villa was situated on the quieter side away from the pool area which suited us perfectly.
The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. It is mainly a Turkish cuisine which delighted us but might upset the fish & chips addicts!
All in all, we had an excellent holiday and have already booked our return for 2008

We think it is a very efficient and well run family business. Staff are extremly helpful and friendly and do their best to ensure you have an enjoyable stay

Theme nights are great fun for all the family. The Cyprus night and weekly bar-b-que are good value for money.
I would recommend car hire for exploring the island. Beach isn't within walking distance
