My family & I visited this hotel in July 07. Before arrving I was very worried due to previous comments that I had read. I need not have worried. We had a fantastic holiday. The hotel is spotless, our room was cleaned each day and towels changed each day. I thought the food was excellent, there was always plently of choice and food was in my opinion up to a great standard. I am a fussy eater and so is my 3yr old and we both ate great. The hotel staff work very hard to run the hotel to a high level. The animation team work very hard and long hours. Location of the hotel was fine, about 5mins walk to the main strip and app 15mins to the beach, (however there a free bus from the hotel). I would defintley return to this hotel. I feel that the people who left bad comments should really understand you get what you pay for i.e. if you want a 4 or 5star hotel - book one.

We had book with first choice to go to the hotel Jupiter but when we arrived were not so happy with it and paid to move to the lagamonte.,

The hotel is overall good, very clean and staff worked very hard to keep cleaning up after everyone. We felt quite sorry for them, especially the dining room staff. The area around the pool got very messy during the day, but was cleaned every night.
Unfortunately although there were signs up not to, the sunbeds were reserved every day before breakfast and there were only about 6 umbrellas and these were kept with the reserved beds until the people turned up at lunchtime to use them. We went to the beach on the free bus and returned at about 4pm when everyone was starting to leave to enable us to get sunbeds.
The pool is small especially the shallow end and the baby pool. There were a lot of children with inflatables, which took up a lot of space.

The hotel itself was pretty clean although had terrible problems with ants - they were everywhere.
Food left a lot to be desired. Restaurant is far too small for the amount of people who stay there and the food was very repetative - chips,chips chips and cauliflower in batter! what wasnt eaten at dinner the night before you could guarantee it would turn up at breakfast!
All 4 members of our family ( along with numerous other guests we discovered )caught a sickness bug which was flying round the hotel and had to spend the day in bed, and we later found out that Health and Safety were called to the hotel four days into our holiday but nobody would disclose why!
The entertainment team did a fantastic job and kept both adults and children entertained constantly - whele Klaus gets his energy from is beyond me!
About 10-15 minute walk from the beach but hotel provides a bus every 30 mins which is free.
Not enough loungers or parasols around the pool and beds reserved at daft o'clock in the morning by people who you wouldnt see until lunch time which was prety annoying.

We have just got back from our holiday this afternoon and we couldn't get out fast enough it was the worst hotel we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of hotels.
It really wasn't what we expected and we ended up booking into a different hotel for the last two nights.
We must say that the hotel was clean and the maids do work very hard although saying that we came back to our room one afternoon to find that the bathroom haden't been cleaned and the floor not washed and the room still in a bit of a mess we don't expect them to tidy up after us but to do the basic daily cleaning at least,other than that it was very clean.
The food left a lot to be desired chips chips chips and pretty much the same type of food every day. If you like chips with everything then you'll love it. We ate out at least once a day.
The location of the hotel is good a 5 min walk from the main strip with lots of shops and very good resturants and about a 15 min walk to the beach.The staff weren't all that helpful they seem to care more about the people arriving and forget about the exsisting guests.
It's very loud at night,out of control children and drunk parents not a good mix when your trying to get young children off to sleep so ask for a room on the top floor and at to back as we tried to but had no luck we had to sleep above the reception right near the entertainment which went on till 12am then the noise of the kids and drunken adults took over.
The entertainment was ok,they tried their best the kids enjoyed it and there was bingo every night for the adults.We won't be going back,ever!!!!
Don't let this put you off Majorca as it's a beautiful island. We really enjoyed our holiday just not the hotel.
We went with an open mind,if your booked in good luck you'll need it,take lots of spending money.

After reading some reviews about this hotel, must admit I was a bit worried,however need not have worried at all! We had a great time,didnt want to come home.
Cleaners in the hotel worked very hard all day long to keep hotel clean and tidy.
Hotel food was great, I have a very fussy 5 year old, he could always find plenty to choose from,as for me my husband and my 9 year old we were spoilt for choice. Staff were very quick to clear tables away,so no need to wait around.
Location was fine,plenty places to eat out just along the road if you fancy a change. Beach was about 15 min walk or you could make use of the free bus which ran everyday but Tuesday.
Didnt have much to do with other hotel staff,but were always friendly enough.
Entertainment team were excellent!!! Tiago,Klas,Jennie,Ceri and Marleen, all worked so hard making sure everyone had a great time, the shows that they put on themselves were brilliant.Lots of fun games for adults and kids. During the day there was always plenty to do for everyone.
Would I visit this hotel again? Yes without a doubt!!!

Hotel rooms were clean,but the air-con wasn't good enough and it was only May.
Staff were ok and friendly.the entertainment was not really good enough,klas was very funny and his energy was unbeliveable,wasted at this hotel.
Food was ok but the dining room was not big enough,had to queue for 10 mins some nights. Pool area was cleaned every night but the area by the stage wasn't and I never saw anyone sweep up. This was were you sat to watch the entertainment. My family had a stomach bug and had to spend a whole day in bed,people were being sick everywhere.
The hotel is a bit out of the way but within walking distance.
The swimming pool is not big enough and freezing cold.
I have listed all the bad points but we did have a nice holiday and Alcudia is so family friendly.

We stayed for 2 weeks all inclusive in the Hotel lagomonte and had a fantastic holiday.
The hotel cleanliness was first class the cleaners worked very hard getting everywhere clean for the guests and the rooms and the bedding and the towels changed daily.
The hotel food was good and very tasty although you have to get there quite early otherwise the food would be cold if you were last in the restaurant. There was always a salad bar which was tasty and some pasta and meat and veges and kids choice but you could pick and mix whatever you fancied and could go up as many times as you like. Puddings were very nice too.
The location of the hotel was nice away from the hustle and bustle of the main road and in a quiet location overlooking a lake which was very peaceful although a lot of dog mess around the pavements of the lake. It was also close to the shops only 10 minute walk away. The beach was only 15 mins walk away although they laid on a bus which was free and went every 30 mins but don't come back from the beach when the driver is on lunch as we found out and had to walk back.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and were always polite.
The entertainment reps were excellent very funny especially the shows that they put on themselves. Some of the shows that were brought in were not very good but ok to watch. Bingo every night and a kids disco which was quite good and you were singing along with the kids by the end of your holiday. All in all a very nice holiday.

The rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day.
We only ate in the hotel restraunt afew times this was due to finding lovely cheap restraunts on the main street. Would recommend Lunas Grill! However when we did eat in the hotel there was plenty of choice and the food was always nice.
The staff were always friendly and spoke very good English - infact there were afew who were actually English!
Entertainment was ok. There was kareoke, bingo etc.
The only downside is that the children are left to run riot from 7am to 1am! There is no chance of a lye in! This is of no fault of the hotel though and can only be blamed on the parents. Ive been to family hotels before and never experienced anything like it!

I stayed in hotel Lagomonte - booked three rooms for six adults were spaced out two rooms at either end of hotel & one in middle & I especially asked for rooms as close as possible.
Too many kids, were still 90 there in September & I thought they were supposed to be in school.
Food pretty good but restaurant not big enough at busy times.
