I stayed in the saturno, this was supposedly the calmer of the three.nice view of aqua park, but noise kids running up& down corridoors, playing in lifts,so you could wait for up to 5mins for one.Food was clean & well laid out,but was always PORK! I was there 14 days & we had it every day! The kids disco had the same 7 songs every night,my son knows them off by heart, even the spanish ones.this then led to karioki with the same drunken people singing the same songs. This is the perfect place if you want butlins with sunshine.I personaly would not go back for a tenner each.but if you like butlins AND PORK its not that bad.

Like many people on this page, I had also read the entries and thought what the hell am I doing going to this hotel!!! My girlfriend and I arrived at the hotel in the morning to find the place buzzing, loads and loads of people running around. The words "holiday from hell" began to run through my mind. The room was very clean and comfortable, though quite small. The pool area was packed with people and loads of kids. We were informed that people were putting their towels out on the beds at about 7am!!! So our initial sentiments of the place was rather low. Though, the following day the place got better. Casting my initial thoughts aside about this hotel, we really enjoyed staying at hotel marte. The food was excellent, albeit a little repetative, the staff were very helpful and polite. Though we took it in turns with a couple of friends that we made on the holiday, by reserving the beds around the pool at 7am, there were still plenty more beds available at around 8.30/9.00am (just slightly further back from the pool - which is probably better considering the amount of kids jumping in the pool and splashing you!!!). There were so many facilities in the hotel(s) that you can use and for kids it was probably heaven!! There were tennis courts, volleyball court, mini golf, many pools, pedal karts and bicycles which were free to hire out, bouncy castles, arcade machines and many more... I have never been to a hotel with so much to offer (and we usually stay in 4/5 star hotels). The hotel marte is probably the better hotel out of the 3. As our return flights were in the evening, friends of ours who were staying on in the hotel jupiter allowed us to use their room to shower. The room was an absolute dump...the tiles in the bathroom were cracked and bath was dirty. They had one cupboard for the four of them and the room can only be described as "dingy". We were obviously lucky to be staying in the Marte as the room was a lot cleaner, quite a lot of cupboard space and smarter.

Just returned from the Marte, I had read the comments on this site before travelling and was really horrified at what i read. When we arrived it was late and i hadnt been told which hotel we would be staying in. We were told we would be staying in the Matre, the evening entertainment was in full swing when we arrived and i understood why people had said it was like Butlins, the entertainment was centred around a stage with plenty of tables and chairs (but not enough) if you didnt get a seat out there by 6.30pm then forget it unless you dont mind standing up all night!! They played the same set of records every night in the same order which was very enoying when it got to the 11th night of my stay. They definately need to get more chairs of create another area for entertainment. The pool area was packed everyday without fail and the first morning we woke up there we were laughing at people putting their towels out at 6.45 in the morning, but if you wanted to be by the pool then this is what you had to do. Even the beach was the same if you didnt get there before 10-10.30am you probably wont get sunbeds together if there are a group of you. The hotel was nice though as it is a complex consisting of 3 hotels Jupiter, Saturno & Marte there were many facilities. The one problem that was very aggravating was the lift situation (swipe cards to call the lift, swipe cards to get in, swipe cards to choose what floor you wanted and so on, and they were so slow you'd be better off walking down). The maids and reception staff were very friendly but a few of the resturant staff were a bit grumpy, but that was not a problem. The chef's were very friendly which is good as they are cooking the food after all!!, I saw the kitchen staff checking the tempreture of the food every few minutes which was very reassuring, and one morning the checked the tempreture of the eggs and then thew them all away and then the chef started cooking fresh ones. There was a wide selection of food every night which is great if you are a fussy eater. Salads, meats, chips of course we even had roast beef and yorkshie puddings (yum yum)just what you need when your away from home. PLEASE PLEASE take some mosquito repelent as the mosis are really big this is due to being in a lush area with 2 lakes in the hotel. Overall we all enjoyed our holiday but there were just a few to many kids for my liking but it was handlable. The rooms were basic but clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Good family holiday resort.

The hotel Marte is part of a complex shared with 2 other hotels. Had to be up at 7 am every morning to get a sun bed beside the pool we also had to queue to get into the resturant. The night time show was average, you had to try and get a seat by 6.30pm and the show did not start until 8pm, no seat no show you would be forced to go elsewhere even though you paid to go all inclusive. The food in the resturants was repeated every 3 nights and the tables were never ready. The hotel only had 2 lifts and you had to wait 10 minutes for it to arrive, not acceptable when you are the sixth floor with 2 kids. There were carpets on the sixth floor that were filthy and reports of people having things taken from there rooms. This Hotel was very busy and it's occupants were very rude.

Just returned from 14 days All Inclusive at Hotel Marte. Have to say that this was excellent value for money!

The food, rooms, staff etc. were first class. The only problems we found was that we had a 16yrs old with us and the evening entertainment while very enjoyable, did not have anything provided for the 14-17yrs (eg Disco with soft drinks only) as part of the all inclusive package. It was a pity because if it had not been for this, we would have scored this holiday 10/10.

We travelled at the end of May to this complex, i had found this website and was filled with dread, i was ready for cancelling the holiday. When we got there, it was the best holiday we have ever had. I cannot understand some of the other comments, i think they must have gone to a different complex!!!! What exactly do people want from a holiday, why do people book it, if its not their choice, i am still wondering?? The hotel is on a complex with Saturno and Jupiter, you can use facilities at any of the hotel, cleanliness was fantastic, food was brilliant, fresh food being brought out constantly, special kids menu. The kids will never get bored, there are activities all day long. If you have kids then this is the hotel for you. Theres a kids mini disco 8-9pm every night, then a quick game of bingo then they have either comedians, hypnotist, bands on, wide variety of entertainment. You do have to get there by 8pm really because it does get busy. The lake is great for the pedaloes and boats, theres a kids playground in sand, bikes for hire, the list is endless. We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday, met lots of friends who all thought the same, no one could fault it, there are 8 pools in the complex and you can use any of them, all very clean. They even have babies milk on tap! You want for nothing at this hotel, we will definitely be going back, i have recommended it to all my friends and one has booked to go in Sept. The gorgeous sandy beach of Alcudia is about 15mins walk away but there is a free courtesy bus run by the hotel, we walked there and got the bus back, its worth a trip. I will just add that i am a respectable person from a middle class family, as some comments suggest only poorer people attend these hotels!!!I would go back tomorrow if i could.

We too stayed at the Saturno last year, in June, with our three year old. Couldn't fault the hotel at all. The only thing I would say is that the complex is very large, and a little impersonal. Normally we'd meet up with families with children of a similar age to our own. At the Jupiter/Saturno there was not much chance of that because there are so many pools and bars you could see a group one day, and then never see them for the rest of the week.

Other than that, it had everything you could wish for.

Take plenty of mosquito repellant if you're heading into Alcudia at dusk though - we were bitten to shreds.

Our 'room' was a box that resembled a prison cell with a metal cot for our baby. This hotel is for people who like drinking warm lager all day from plastic cups, and very noisy rowdy evenings. The restaurant had decent enough food but was like feeding time at the zoo, and the facilities during the day were not bad, the pool and play areas ok but my first reaction to arriving at the hotel was to cry and this did not improve as week went on. The tiny lifts were packed and the corridors were teaming with kids running up and down like elephants. The walls were paper thin and we could hear EVERYTHING our german neighbours were saying and DOING! We stayed at Jupiter Hotel. NEVER AGAIN. Location is ok, short walk to beach etc but across busy road.

GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!!

I cried on arrival - room was like a prison cell, tiny and just AWFUL. Corridors teaming with rowdy kids till all hours of the night.

Hotel teaming with tattooed, swearing, spitting people and cups of watered down beer everywhere.

AWFUL.
