Cala d'or is a very pleasant place to stay - lots of small bars/restaurants, small shops to wander round, attractive marina to visit. This is the perfect place if you want a quiet, relaxed holiday.

The resort was clean and the beaches that we visited were spotless. It was pretty quiet but then it was the end of September and we had a 3 month old baby with us so it was fine. Would recommend Scooby's, Sparkles & Yates'for food and entertainment.

Cala DOr is a very chic resort, with lots of nice bistros of varying prices. The cheap and cheerful are often just as nice as the more expensive, as we tried a wide variety.
There are loads of up market shops, especially ladies clothing and leather goods, but they are quite pricey, however if you want something you cant get at home, and dont mind paying the price for it, they are really good value.
The entertainment is very low key, however this suited us just fine, some music bars, and there were a few clubs on quite late for the partygoers!!!
I loved the resort, and will be back some time in the future.

Cala D'or is a clean, lively but classy resort - the beaches are easy to access and we found them excellent for children. All the amenities we needed were here and there are many excellent restaurants. We did not find the resort to be noisy at night. we would visit this resort again.

Good resort plenty of shops and bars (all pints seem to be 3 euros) apart from one which I will let you find out.

Cala D'or has some great bars and resturants. The tropical gardens bar offers great entertainment nightly such as The Grease Show and gams and a mini disco for the children its free entry but the drinks are a little more expensive than other places. Barlovento Resturant and great food at reasonable prices.
The beach at Cala Gran is great because its the biggest in the area it does get busy.

Glad we stayed at marina end of cala d'or found the main resort a bit seedy the marina area is spotless with boats worth millions moored there. lovely places to eat there esp dinos steaks to die for churchills has a nice atmosphere too. the beach was a 20 min walk away cala fortis the nearest lovely cove but very crowded. i will return to cala d;or again we had a great time there

The resort cleanliness is basically very good. We had some heavy rain one afternoon and anywhere near a drain really stank for the next 4-5 days.
Also the local dog owners are not scoopers, so watch out for the poop. I noticed quite a lot.
Lots of good family resturants, but alot serving the same old stuff. We have the same menu in the pub down our street. We found a couple of really good resturants one at the marina and one in town. Take a good look at the menus before you go in and eat earlier in the evening. The resturants in town can get busy and slow later in the evening, we waited one hour on a pizza one evening.
Beaches are small beautiful but crowded but there are quite a few in Cala d'or so you have a choice. Remember to please take your rubbish home if you go to the beach.
I went scuba diving at Cala Gran and believe me, if you throw rubbish in the sea it stays there.
All in all an excellent resort, we might go back and I would recommend it to familes. Oh by the way Majorca is not as cheap as it used to be. A meal with wine costs the same as it does here.

Cala D'or beautiful endless choice of restaurants and no tacky bars in sight and no one hastling you to come in the Mayor band it apparently a must is a vist to the marina amazing boats on show that the restaurants are that bit extra special
Cala Egos where were again excellent clean friendly no tack on show nice bars and restaurants
Would reccomend to anyone who want a classier resort than the Maga-tacky-luf
