The resort and beach is approx 10 minute walk away. The beach is very clean and the sea shallow for quite a long way out making it ideal for children.
There are plenty of restaraunts to choose from. The resort seems still very much for Germans although there are a couple of English bars
There is a large and cheaper supermarket if you walk down to main road and turn left, about 200 mt next door to petrol station

a quite resort but enough to keep you occupied. lovely place we found to eat was San remos on the seafront, nice staff and food. beach good and clean. There is a market on near the harbour on a friday, but be aware it is very hot to walk there on the beach front so take a drink with you

We weren't wowed by Can Picafort but it is a pleasant little resort. A few reasonable beach front restaurants and bars offering live entertainment. The market on Friday is well laid out, much nicer experience than previous visits to Spanish markets and certainly worth a barter!

Resort is very clean on the whole, so no complaints on that score. The resort entertainment is mainly bars, which are varied but nothing exceptional, or out of the ordinary. The English pub, "Shenanigans" gets a special mention from us for it's pleasant atmosphere, cheaper drinks, uncrowded Pool Tables, and also cheaper Internet connection when compared to our Hotel. The beach is very clean, but there is a fair bit of seaweed in the sea near the Son Baulo Hotel.

As we have been here twice now as a family (and I came here years ago as a youngster), we feel that we have now done all that we can in this resort. Add this together with our main gripe, which is that the Hotel totally spoiled the end of our holiday, we will definitely not be returning.

Take alot of sunshine, add a some relaxation, with a tinge of peace and quiet. Shake it all up together and you have the perfect cocktail called Can Picafort!
There are things to see, and do all over the place. but if its beach life that you want youve got it!!
The restaurants and bars require time from you to sit and savour this perfect place and the entire area is more like a village than a town.
From Son Baulo all the way to the opposite end of Can Picafort towards Alcudia, is so relaxing and you can have as energetic a night out that you want, or a quiet romantic time sitting outside of a tappas bar watching the world pass you by.
It simply is pure BLISS!!!

C'an Picafort is a typical tourist resort. Beach is clean, wide, long and gently shelves into the Bay of Alcudia. Sunbeds and parasols are plentiful and reasonable to hire. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the beach but don't expect gourmet or typically Spanish/Mallorcan food. They seem to cater to mostly German tourists though English tourists are well catered for and all the bars and restaurants we visited spoke both German and English as well as Spanish of course.
Barracuda bar on Ave Josep Trias is well worth a visit. Run by a Spanish/German couple Toby and Isobel with excellent bar staff Max and Andreas they all speak Spanish, German and English and play great music in there.
Also a pizza/pasta restaurant called Zodiac which is on one of the side streets down the bottom of Ave Josep Trias has excellent food and good service and a great friendly waiter called Lucas.

The "resort" and the "hotel" are all in the one complex at this holiday village. The beach is clean and sandy with a good selection of eating places both along the front and in the streets further back.We payed approx 30-40 Euros for a family meal and a couple of drinks which i was happy with considering the portions and quality of food.
