Cala n forcat is great for all ages, families and couples. Plenty of restaurants to visit, Daisys do a lovely 3 course meal for 10 euros, recommend the lamd lovely. Entertainment - go to the square where they have a stage and tribute bands on every night. Fake that and Elvis and Bee Gees highly recommended. the beaches are small coves and the one by the hotel is def our favourite. Would def go back next year, infact would stay in the same apartment block also. Excellent holiday.

There are various restaurants within walking distance, most menus are of the chips with everything variety. Las Brazas on the main road, does offer more variety, I had quail, which came with jacket potato. Most restaurants offer pasta, vegetarians may suffer !.

The nearby beaches were very small, clean and picturesque. Sun beds are expensive, around E17 for 2. It costs about E7 to buy your own umbrella so this could be a wise investment if you intend to spend many days on a beach.

The nearest beach to Menorca Sea Club is allegedly visited by jellyfish so keep any eye out. I didn't see any.

Just along the road from Menorca Sea Club is a viewpoint and we spent an hour watching dolphins from here. This was a high point of our holiday.

The beach probably isn’t for beach lovers, that part of the island tends to have lots of little shallow coves that are ideal for parents with small children for the calm of the sea and the smallness of the area you need to watch, we went down to the nearest beach which can be got to in the hotel on foot with no buggy but it didn’t take us more than 5-10 mins to walk the road way, there a café which seemed to be run by a british lady and got big portions, everything was 3 euros, and there were about 10 parasols with 2 sunloungers on the beach, each was 5 euros, but worth it for the day rather than rouging it on the shingle.

Cala N Forcat has plenty of restaurants and Bars if youre self catering or fancy a wander and all the souvenir shops, though it is a modern resort, Cuitedella the old capital is only about 15 mins by hourly bus for the architecture, serious shopping or the cigarette smoker it cost 4.35 euros for 2 adults and 1 child each way.
The water park is literally a 5 min walk from the Binimar, we didn’t go due to the complexities of the baby and for the truelly picky eater there are 2 Burger Kings – though couldn’t confirm whether they are cooked in Spanish oil or taste like they do at home!!!

You will have happy days here if you like restaurants that provide english ingredients and style food and you have children who like to play on bouncy castles while you eat your food.
Overall it was OK but for me and my partner we would avoid it like the plague if we went away without our children.
We visited one beach Cala En Blanes which was good, nice play pirate ship for kids, clear gently sloping beach, small but didnt seem overcrowded.
Restaurants we liked - for brakfast was Castaways because our 10month old woke at 6.30am and this seemed to be the first place open for breakfast. For lunch and dinner there is the restaurant by the aqua centre which manages to serve some lovely local dishes; the cuitadella prawns, the sea bass and the local menorcan chicken dish were superb as was the chicken salad and tomato & mozarella salad. But they also did a wide range of childrens dishes which our kids enjoyed. Only problem here was sometimes service was slow, the waiters seeemd disorganised.
The other place we liked (cant remember name) was the mexican restaurant at the top of road by the roundabout, waiters excellent and welcoming, service great and food very good.
The ones we found over rated was La Barras Grill - overpriced and average and the restaurant next to Talayots (again with a big outside BBQ grill) we went there fro brekki to check out the evening menu but with one other table for breakfast they managed to keep us waiting 25minutes (with hungry kids) and then it was served stone cold - and I mean stone cold!! So we did not go there any evening.
So other than the two good places mentioned and the poor places we experienced the rest is all a bit samey really, kids menus, stuff for kids to do while mum and dad eat.
Overall a decent clean, busy, very child friendly resort with lots of options for eating and things to do. If thats what you are looking for this is the place for you. If you want good quality restaurants and lots of beach life then it aint here.

The resort had many bars and restaurants although we only visited a couple of bars as we were staying all inclusive. Jimmy Hills was very nice. There appeared to be entertainment available nightly in the resort which looked very good.the beach was quite samll and you had to find the best way to get to it as from our hotel the route was very tricky. the beach at Calan Blanes was excellent and about a twenty minute walk but so worth it. The beach had showers and very clean toilets.

Was disappointed with Cala Forcat itself, too british, with a burger king opp complex. Lots of bouncy castles and restaurants advertising british breakfasts. Went by bus (very frequent and a stop right outside complex) to Cituedella and cala bosh, well worth the trip. Went to the nearby trotting races and Somni horse show with thomson trip.

Very child friendly, Beaches was small but had what you wanted felt very safe, def not for singles, who want to get mega drunk and who want major night life. How ever the people we met didnt't have children managed to stay out til 5 every morning and they had a fab time.
A resort for families.

The resort suited our needs. We were not to bothered about a beach and prefer the pool, but if you want a beach holiday then Cala n Forcat isn't for you. There are 2 small sandy coves in the centre of town which are not easy to get to. Qiute steep climbs down steps etc..
The one at Cala n Blanes is lovely ,but about 15 mins away from centre. We found a beautiful cove in the area of Cala n Brut through some back streets. We were the only English there and seemed a Spanish treat. Lovely clear water which was accessed by steps as there is so beach just rocks.
Night life centred around the main street with the blue arch.Loads of places to eat and drink and trampolines ,bouncy castle every where to keep the kids entertained.Jimmy Hills was a fav which had live tribute acts on every night. A must find for all ages.
A great family resort with something for all the family. Not really suitable for young groups of teenagers. You would be bored to death and ran over by the amount of prams and buggies that are around.
Should be called Cala n buggy instead of FORCAT.
