We stayed for Christmas and New Year, and enjoyed the Parque Golf.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and it definitely helps if you speak a little Spanish.

The bungalows are very clean and quiet, but really only suited to couples, as the third person accomodation is on the couch in the lounge.

The pool area is large and very nice and clean with plenty of sun beds for everyone. The pool itself is unheated, and very "refreshing".

This is a quiet complex, with little organised entertainment, and a bar that closes fairly early. However, the two complexes adjacent have more entertainment, and bars that remain open untill 2.00 am.

Plenty of cheap taxi's mean you can get to wherever you want to go easily, whilst enjoying the quiet base of the Parque Golf. In summary, basic, clean, friendly, and recomended.

When I first went to Parque Golf on a package holiday five years ago, I remembered the coach driving through Playa Del Ingles to drop off other holidaymakers on the way there. Seeing the rather cramped high-rise concrete blocks that some were staying in, I couldn't believe the contrast when we arrived at Parque Golf. It felt like a little oasis, set in a very peaceful location with pleasant surroundings. In fact I liked it so much that I decided to go back there when I returned to Gran Canaria this year.

The complex is adjacent to Maspalomas Golf Course and shares the immediate vicinity with just two other similar complexes, so the only noise you get is from the odd golf buggy or lawn mower! Admittedly it is in a slightly remote location, however this is certainly not a problem, in reverse I would say it's a selling point. Just a five-minute (approx

Arriving at the bungalows we knew instantly we had made a big mistake. We were located a bungalow in the outer circle which at night time was very creepy. Greeting us at the front entrance to our room were loads of disgusting cats and several cockroaches.

The rooms were tiny with hardly any room to move about. In the bedroom there were nothing but two tiny single beds made for people 5 feet or under. There was no air conditioning or fans available to hire, this is prob due to the reception staff not being able to understand a word of English. There were no electricity points except for in the living/kitchen area.

The nearest shop was ages away so your stuffed if you need anything you don't have. To top it off the bathroom was swarming with ants, not the most appealing destination and definately the worst accomadation I have ever been in.

To our releif we only had to spend one night and day in this hell hole before being moved to a lovely hotel in playa del ingles....

Parque Golf was a fantastic get away from it all sort of place we were there in August 2004, if you like bright lights, parties and fun, you're not going to get any of that here, Maybe the fun element but I suppose it's what you make of it, anyway, the apartments are bungalows, in semi-detached groupings that circle the site in 2 large circles, we were located in the outer circle, which didn't really matter, the inner circle obviously has a pool view(nice large pool).

The swimming pool itself was fantastic, good job too seeing as the beach is miles away (Never had a problem with early morning sunbed snatchers), we did walk to the beach on a few occasions just for the walk.

the Faro2 shopping/restaurant complex is only a short walk away for all your self catering needs, supermarket there very reasonably priced.

Taxis into playa del ingles were roughly 3-4 pound a go.
On the whole the apartments were great, set well away from the action, but within a very cheap taxi ride, or sweaty walk if you felt up to it.

I recommend Parque Golf, and can't believe it is now featured in the cheaper style brochures.
