A block is above restaurant but only noise we heard was the ragging of sunbeds. My son was on E block and he got noise from next hotel till early hours and also he didn't have a balcony

Very new and as yet unspoilt. There is some building work going on around the promenade area, but nothing to spoil the time there.

Lovely beach, many nice resturants but most close early evening making it necessary to journey to Europa or commercial centre.

Puerto Rico presents an attractive and clean impression on arrival. Gardens and park areas are well maintained and a team of ladies seem to be constantly on the go with their brooms to keep the place spick and span. Rather a hilly location so may not be too good for those with mobility problems, pick your accommodation with care.
Plenty of bars and restaurants in the Shopping centre and througout the resort. Beaches in the area are clean and well served wih sunbeds and umbrellas as well as refreshment facilities

The resort of Puerto Rico was more attractive than I had anticipated. Amadores beach is an attractive crescent shape butI found the crushed coral manmade beach a little coarse/sharp. Evidence of some constraction work but not intrusive.

The resort of playa amadores seems very quiet

I would return to the resort because it was great and was close to everything. The beach was good and very clean.

The manmade beach is lovely - it's crushed coral so it's white as opposed to the black/grey of natural beaches on the island, and it sweeps round in a lovely scenic curve. I didn't see many sporting facilities, but there are lots of sun loungers and umbrellas and eating places and shops readily available. Food is quite reasonable, with a huge choice.
I don't think there is much else to Amadores othe than hotels and the beach, but Puerto Rico is just around the corner, about 20mins amble, but when it's hot a taxi is very cheap. Entertainment is better here and there are lots of restaurants and pubs.
If you want a relaxing holiday, with a few exciting trips - a jeep safari or a camel ride or to Palmitos Park - then this should be ideal for you.

Amadores is a fairly new resort, some pretty nice looking hotels/apartments are being built, so the place is growing.
The beach is lovely, although you need to be careful with young children as the beach does not shelve much before it starts getting deeper.
Take a taxi or walk along the coastal path to get into lively Puerto Rico! We found you could get a great feed in any resturant, but the way they all try to drag you into their own eaterie got on our nerves. Be aware of time share sharks who pretend you have won a top prize! you won't have.
We enjoyed trips on the ferry to Mogan, the aqua park in P. Rico was great fun. Highlight for me was that I have finally got to see Dolphins, took boat from P.Rico (the one that only takes 15 passengers) Brill.
If you want sun, sand, sea and loads of British themed pubs then its got it! I felt that entertainment for families was lacking. The hotel next door to the Gran Amadores had entertainment every night and was good for families (Mirador del Atlantico) so we used it on a few occasions, also they done a decent self serve buffet which was a nice change.
On the whole the holiday was ok, although it was very hot and the kids were complaing of being bored from time to time. We met many people who love the place and return year after year.
The time before this we went to Minorca and we would like to return there again. I'm not saying I will not go back to the canaries, just that I can see the appeal of the winter sun that the canaries has to offer.
Like all holiday resorts it had good things and bad things to deal with, though I would say there was more good things than bad. Go see for yourself.

The resort was very very clean, but fairly quiet even though we were there in june and expected alot more going on outside the hotel and to be a little busier in the bars.
Ammadores beach was beautiful, a man made beach I think, small but perfectly formed!
