Looks great on arrival but that ends as soon as you open the bedroom door. The rooms are in need of decorating and the balconys have like a green carpet on them with old plastic furniture and plently of pigeon poo on everything incuding the balcony doors - yes they have a big problem with pigeons!!
View from the room is nice overlooking the pool and if you can see the sea in the distance. The main lounge is cold and the roof leaks as indicated by the towels laid on the floor! - however the lounge is quite nice with a huge waterfall that is turned on in the daytime.
The restuarant carpets look like they need a good hoover, the meals are very poor so we stuck to simple things whernever possible. we did make a few complaints to the rep but she was not helpful either!
The staff very unhelpfull.
The hotel did put on some very good evening entertainment and we made the effort to watch this each night.
Dont waste your hard earned money on this hotel, we stayed cause we had no choice and we made the best of a bad situation.

My husband and I booked this hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary after previously visiting there during a stay with our daughter who lives in Lanzarote. We found the hotel to be first class in almost all aspects - admittedly some areas of the hotel do need some TLC - carpet is worn in several well-used areas and the decor in the rooms is a little tired looking, but on the whole, this is a very well-run and extremely comfortable hotel. The staff were always pleasant and accommodating and, as seems usual in most European hotels, were working their socks off! The food was excellent and extremely varied every day - I challenge anyone not to find something they liked from the daily choice!
The pools are lovely though one was out of use while we were there due to repairs. There is a jacuzzi by the pools which is supposed to be child-free at certain times, though this didn't seem to be monitored as there were always children in there whenever I visited. No shortage of sunbeds or good sunbathing areas.
I recommend anyone staying at the Beatriz to visit the spa - it is exceptionally good value and totally enjoyable - you can purchase discounted tokens from reception (50% reduction for guests).
When booking a room remember to ask for a room overlooking the piano bar (noise reduction) but try to avoid the top floor - obstructed internal views due to hotel ceiling. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Leaning towards "upmarket",have been several times,as have so many people we speak to.Isolated away from main centres,but well within walking distance.Padded sunbeds, spacious grounds,uncrowded,choose where you sunbathe/when you sunbathe (no early morning towels on beds needed here).Night-time entertainment "civilised",different
nationalalities.Food excellent,good choice.Someone mentioned Disco, it only takes place on a Saturday,and it mainly caters for Spanish people,not the type of Disc we are used to.
