We arrived at 3pm but had to wait an hour for our room to be ready.
The room was small, as there were 3 of us staying in one room (my husband, myself and teenage daughter) they had put a put-up bed in the room but in order for it to fit we then couldn't use the wardrobe or get into the main bed unless we climbed over it or clambered up the bed. When we asked at reception for a larger room as it was unsuitable and a hazard, the staff were very rude and refused to swap us unless we paid for a larger room.
We asked for a late checkout which is 2pm, but the cleaner hammered on the door at 10am wanting to clean.
The adjoining shopping centre is empty. The area is dodgy and seedy compaired with other areas of Bangkok which we had previously stayed. We didn't feel safe walking in the area and so stuck to the river boat transfer and sky trained to other areas.
The riverboat to the sky train is free, very good!

Very good hotel set on the river. Quick walk to the river boat and plentiful taxis & tuk tuks around. We also walked across town to the MBK centre, it takes about half an hour. Always felt safe whilst walking around.
We only ate breakfast at the hotel. The choice is very wide and everything is good.
Staff were most helpful, no exceptions.
Room/hotel very clean. One side looks out over the river. Our room was massive and the bathroom was big too.
We didn't use the pool area. My impression of it was good though, but that's not was this trip was for for us personally.
There's also a good and generously priced restaurant around the corner called the Gallery Cafe. Also a shopping centre attached too.
Evening entertainment was very classical. Not my cup of tea, but very good if you like that. Oh, and try the signature cocktail.....it's enormous!
If (when) I return to Bangkok, I will be looking to stay here again.
