The resort area itself was very clean.

Early morning the beaches were cleaned by tractor. The pavements and grassy ares wre well kept. We could'nt believe how green everything was especially with their climate! As for entertainment, well there isnt much really but if you needed excitement there's always the shops.

The reason for the 3 star rating is because we had great fun bartering for gifts with the local market being open til late in the evening this was entertainment in itself!

There were horses and carts to ride in which took you up and down the resort tho the prices may be a bit steep often with hidden charges, you just need to be a bit cautious! Theres a place called Carthage Land which when it is finished should be a good place to visit open til late! And also a zoo not far away!

For a relaxing holiday, Yes, we would visit again!

If you have trouble keeping your kids entertained 24/7 like I do, then Yasmine isn't going to do you any favours.Spain does it a lot better.

The beach is nothing special and is divided into various areas for each hotel. this is located approx 300m away from the hotel across a busy road which is difficult to cross. please also be aware of the beach traders who offer you to try melon and then charge you the earth. one person was charged 30 dinars for a slice of melon which is about 15 UK sterling, and even after explaining that she didn't have the money he tried to escort her to the mini-bank to get the money from her. Luckily when approached by a couple of hotel residents he declined with tail between legs and retreated

Yasmine Hammamet was a lovely resort, although when we went a lot of the hotels were built, but not yet open. The whole resort seems new, and the buildings are all beautiful. Maybe not somewhere to go for clubbing, but for a relaxing break its ideal. The theme park was an excellent day out and the medina is interesting (if you dont mind haggling!)Very clean and friendly.Watersports on the beach were very good.

I have rated these low, purely because I went out of season, therefore there was very little open in Yasmine Hammamet, and the weather was not the best!! I am sure that during the holiday season "proper" I would have rated everything higher!!

Unfortunately the beach for the Savana Hotel was lined by an absolute mountain of seaweed, in fact I thought they were rocks until I tried to climb over them to get to the waters edge!!!!

There was a lot of refurbishment going on while I was in resort, ready I expect for the summer crowds, but the streets were empty, and the only real signs of life were in the Medina by CarthageLand, and in the few restaurants open along by the Marina. These areas were very nice and clean. The little trains were running, and I used them to go into Hammamet itself, and to get me to the Medina when it was raining!!

I would love to visit again, especially in the high season, when the sun is shining, and there are lots of people about, I imagine it is lovely then!!!!

The beach was just a wlk through the immaculate pools away and was heavenly. Clean sand, clear water, fish swimming around your toes, what more can I say!

There is very little to do here other than stay in the Hotel if you have young children. Hotel entertainment is limited due to an apparent lack of funding (Archery for 8 people was one bow and two arrows total!). There are a few shops within a 5 min. taxi ride but take any baby stuff you might need with you. The entire resort, once out onto the road, smells of sewerage although we could not work out why.

Originally in Yasmine Hammamet, then moved to Port El Kantoui.
We would describe it a bit like taking a holiday in Beirut. The surroundings were such - all that was missing was the snipers! Not an attractive country by anyones standards. If you just want a cheap holiday with gauranteed sun - great, otherwise dont bother.
Make sure you pack plenty of medication cos you are unlikely to get out without suffering Tunisian Tummy!

All i have to say about the resort ratings is that if i could give it a score of 10 then i would, yasmine hammamet is very very clean. We was situated on the beach, the beach is absolutly beautiful, you really dont need to travel all the way to mexico to see beautiful beaches, the resort in the evening we really didnt visit much for entertainment atnight, because the hotel entertainment was great.
