Well what can i say.....What a fantastic holiday! It was our first time to Turkey so don't really have any other hotels there to compare it with but as a family we all had an amazing time!
We arrived about 10.45pm and the check in was really fast. We were given our wristbands and then the bellboy took our cases to our room. There is a man on reception and he speaks very good English and nothing is to much trouble. Afer our cases were safely put in the room we had a nice relaxing drink and then went to the midnight buffet.
The food was nice and plentiful in the main restaurant but did get very samey towards the end of our stay. They seem to love meatballs as they were on every single night but saying this there was always plenty of choice and something for everyone. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The A la Carte's that we visited were the Chinese, Italian, Mexican and Greek. Our favourite was the Italian where we had the fillet steak; it was to die for. Chinese was nice too but I could take or leave the Greek and Mexican but that is just down to personal choice.
The food at the Aqua pool was really nice and also steaming hot. The Aqua pool was the only pool we visited and was brilliant for my boys aged 14 and 12. They really enjoyed it and we never had a problem getting a sunbed and we didn't get there until gone 2pm somedays but can't comment on the others.
The beach was lovely and relaxing and never had a problem getting a bed there either. Maids work very hard and come in everyday to clean and refill the mini fridge. Alot of people asked on the forum if they had beer in the minibar and the answer was always answered no but there was. At first we thought it was canned lemonade but it was Efes, nice to have a little drinkie before bed on the balcony. They also restock daily with water, fanta or sprite also peanuts. The rooms were spotless and very bright and airy.
I have given no score for the entertainment because I think thats what could do with improvement. I think they should let you know what is on, what time and where, we missed alot of the poolside entertainment because we were never told what time it was happening. We used to sit in the sky bar of a night and the music was not to our taste as it was abit ravey. Saying that it didn't ruin our holiday in the least.
The only niggles I have and they are only little but it would be to vary the entertainment for different ages and also the minibars are not cold.
Would I go again?....Oh yes in a heartbeat but my hubby doesn't like visiting the same place twice but if I have my way we will go back there. We are looking at the other Voyages as I type. All in all a Fantastic holiday! Keep it up Voyage Torba. Go and enjoy you wont be disappointed!

Cleaners/gardeners/waiters everywhere!!!! place was spotless
only loses a star because of the breakfast - kids were fine, plenty cereals (coco pops, etc) but far from catering for british people breakfast is a little sparse unless you like ham and cheese.
very friendly staff, couldnt do enough for us.
most entertainment carried out in the amphitheatre, now i enjoy a drink or two when watching entertainment, but not a bar in sight therefore stone sober! although you could see the health and safety issues if someone were daft enough to get really drunk there.

nice a/i hotel. beautifully clean, staff nice, friendly and helpful - genghis at the pool bar was particlarly good especially with the kids. food really nice, especially the ala carte restaurants! plenty of beer, wine, spirits (and decent stuff too including malibu and baileys!)
entertainment was ok, but i was disappointed that there was no bar close by. being british the thought of entertainment without a glass of wine is just wrong!
pools - very, very nice and clean. we went in early may, so plenty of loungers available. we spent most of our time beside the hawaiian pool - better sun loungers and quieter than the aquapark but only round the corner, so older children will be quite safe to wander around there and leave you in peace! waterslides in the aquapark were really cool, i went on the lot!
we didnt actually leave the resort so cannot comment on anything outside the hotel.
must do - visit the hamam, i felt like i was walking on air afterwards!!!
the only negatives are: no mini bar in room (only soft drinks); poor breakfast (kids will be fine with cocopops, sugar puffs, etc) but the only thing i had for breakfast was toast and tea/coffee; and the beach bar is too far away from the beach, we therefore spent most of the holiday beside the pool with waiter service!
when we arrived it was approx 25 degrees but on the day we were leaving i think it was probably 34+, i could definitely not cope here in august!
overall, really nice relaxing holiday, and definitely coming back here!

Stayed at the beginning of the season, so not everything in full swing, but what a hotel.
It was Thomsons first season with this hotel, so new to them too, but Sue the rep was excellent, and really welcomed us all at the very good "Welcome Meeting"
The staff were a mixture really, some old hands, some learning the ropes, the old helping the new, and they all just got on with it, some quicker than others, some understood better than others, but all were excellent, friendly people, who tried very hard to please. Who could ask for more...........(although as usual some guests did!)
Rooms are 2 storey apartments, some slightly different, most have a balcony or terrace, a few have French windows, but no balcony, we were in the ones with a good sized balcony, rooms were of good quality and size, very well cleaned each day, fresh linen and towels each day. mini bar re stocked with water, soft drinks and fizzies. FSTV wall mounted, and some UK channels, bathrooms very good, toiletries were available, and power shower of good quality too.
Wardrobes could have been more spacious, but my fault for taking too much. Digital safe located in wardrobe.
Air con was space age, room controlled, digital and a puzzle to work out at first, but after a bit of thought, worked very well, and kept us cool.
The views from everywhere in the grounds are wonderful, beautiful gardens, clean beach, with row after row after row of sun beds, never a fight to get one. Good beach bar and towels change available in 2 places. One near the beach, one near the Aqua Pool.
Adult beach area is fabulous, very peaceful as there is no loud music being played, bean bags, comfy sun loungers, and tables and chairs to sit at. Waiter service here too. Excellent. There is a jetty area near by, also furnished with bean bags and loungers.
Food at the main restaurant is excellent, breakfast was very good, waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereals, yoghurts, breads, fresh fruit, danish pastries, jams, preserves, figs, the list goes on. The waiters re fil your tea coffee as much as you want, fresh juice too. Excellent coffee, douwe egberts, and kept hot. Machines also in dining room should you want to fill up en route. Fridges full of bottled water in the dining areas too, so you can grab one on your way to the pool, which is situated in the middle of the dining areas.................lovely.
The a la cartes were all excellent, easy to book by phone from your room between 10 and 2 pm. The Fish and the Italian were top class, the Turkish was next to the Panorama bar, overlooking the pool and the sea, very very beautiful, especially under the stars.
The chef came to each table and asked if the food was to your satisfaction. And it was, although too much..the mezes were plentiful, and very moreish.
You can go straight into the Panorama lounge from the Turkish restaurant, take a seat (if you can get one) on the terrace and just relax and open a few buttons........Phew, another stone.
The Panorama 24 hour bar is of high quality, serves cakes, ice cream, until 6 each day, an amazing choice.
From midnight til 7 am it serves soups and sandwiches, there is also a midnight buffet in the main restaurant. Food, food and more food.
The surrounding area of Torba bay is a quiet easy going resort. Lovely little bars seemed to be getting ready for the season. New hotel was being built across the road, and it does look very nice. Little shops along the main walkway, and a couple of nice bars too.
Good Dolmus service right in front of the hotel, 2.5 lira to Bodrum, a 15 minute journey.
A lovely little harbour, with boats taking trips out, and a tour agency across from the hotel too, so everything you could need.
The bars were all of good quality, served international branded drinks, the Absolute vodka being my favourite, they also served coffees at all the bars, espresso, capaccino, latte, all fresh.
Turkish tea house was wonderful, opened til midnight every day, long sofas, little stools and tables, in a shaded area, they also served toasties and sandwiches here too. Gozleme hut was near by, and very very good.
The pools were all used, the Aqua pool was the busiest, had slides a plenty and was always full, children loved it here. The Hawaiian pool was quieter, had a good bar, and had excellent sunbeds, hammocks and 2 or 3 tented beds.
Entertainment was good at the amphitheatre, they did try to keep you happy, and although at times it was a little lame, a couple of shows were good. The staff were dedicated and seemed a happy bunch.
The outdoor disco, (near Adult beach) had live groups on, and they were very good. Plenty of tables and chairs, a good waiter service, although hopefully more staff will be brought in as the season wears on,
they could sometimes be slow in getting to you, but, they were so apologetic that it really didn't matter.
There were one or 2 moaners, who thought the service was bad, and what was going on, blah blah blah, but at the end of the day, New season, new staff, and they deserved a smile for the long hours they worked.
No complaints at all, a very good hotel, top class service, top class food and drink. The staff were getting better each day, there was always a smile for everyone, and we would return without hesitation.
Top marks..minus half a point for the silly wristbands.
