We have rented a villa in Florida for the first time, and have a few questions:
(1) Is it cheaper to hire a car on-line in the UK, or wait until we arrive in Florida?
(2) Is it cheaper to buy a pass for attractions here, or when we are in Florida?
(3) Is there a good deal on passes for attractions that we should be aware of?
(4) We want to go to the Kennedy Space Centre, and everglades - are there any tips about when we should go, acquire tickets etc?
(5) What are the `must do' things, that peeps would recommend?
Thanks

I can answer a few for you

1 Definitely book the car hire from a site in the Uk before you go .Try
http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/?villa=393
to get an idea of prices.
2 It will depend on what type of ticket you want .There are tickets that are sold to the UK market only and will need to be bought before hand .Disneys Magic your way tickets are available to anyone and can be bought in either place but if you wait until you get there you will be spending time buying tickets when you could be in the parks.
this site will sell the MYW tickets that you can tailor to your own requirements so you can start to compare prices
http://www.park-tickets.com/?villa=393
I alway buy the MYW tickets so cannot comment on the UK only ones but someone will come along I am sure who can.

the site above will also have tickets to KSC but the everglades is a trip you can easily make on your own
As for must do things apart from the parks-you could take a trip to the coast -beautiful beaches on the west coast,or visit one of the many State parks around the area .

If I can be of any further help just ask

http://www.carhire3000.com and http://www.netflights.co.uk are often recommended for car hire as you can pay all the insurances up front which is much cheaper than doing it over there.

Definatley book car hire in the UK, you could easily pay 2-3 times the price booking at a desk when you arrive in the US.

Just got back (yesterday) from my trip, best advice I can give you re. the Kennedy space centre is to get there early, we didnt arrive till 1.30 for our visit and found that the place closes at 5PM. There is masses to see including a 2-3 hr bus tour that shows you all the good stuff, buy the time we had got in , looked at maps, familiaries ourselves with what we wanted to see etc, the last tour bus of the day had left ( leaves @ 2:15pm). Really enjoyed what we saw and will deff go back.
