Yes Steve,
I know that you know the area fairly well, so...

From Pernera on the top road towards Kapparis, past the aquarium as if you are going to Kapparis.
Get to the large island, with Shiapannis furniture opposite and the bank on the right, where you would turn left for Orphanides, but turn right.
Pass a bus stop and where the old Castle (Colossos Club I think it was) was on your left . Road forks. Take the left fork and pass the O-Zone and the Loukiana, again on your left. Its at the bottom of that road.

Just thought...another route...

Again from Pernera, walk down to the Golden Coast hotel (near the harbour with the patrol boats), turn left opposite GC hotel.
Past Sirena Bay on the right. Keep going until road sweeps round to the left with a bus stop and remains of Castle in front of you and turn right ;)

It's on my map, Steve ;)

http://tinyurl.com/6gplvf gets you straight to the Google map.

OP... please remember it's a good three miles or so from Kapparis to Protaras and most of Kapparis is not on the bus route, as you can see from the map above. (Even though the satellite images are dated September 2003.)

No worries we've walked from Pernera to Kapparis before ... lol

Steve, my comment was intended for the OP, nelly3164. I'm concerned that their villa is in Kapparis but their post suggests that they think they are staying in Protaras.

ps Also booked to be in Cyprus from 15 May, just missing the Strawberry fest.

thanks for the heads up marion, but we know we are in kapparis, and that protaras is a distance away :tup , as long as we are not too far away from a couple of nice places to eat, and a supermarket i am happy.

Wondering if any of you experienced visitors can help. We usually stay in Pernera, however, we use the Ozone (as we have friends who live in Cyprus and its their 'local') and we have used bars/restaurants in Kapparis. This year we have found an appartment to rent for a change on the Alexandra II Apartements Complex, I know the Apartment is new this year so just wondering if anyone knows where it is in relation to the Ozone, Kapparis Main High Street, and how far it is into Pernera or if there is a bus stop nearby. I'm just trying to get my bearings.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Max

My map will help you get your bearings... http://tinyurl.com/6gplvf

Note the bus route - it skirts the southern edge of Kapparis.

Sorry. No idea where this complex is.

Hi Marion, your map is a great help, I've managed to fnd my way from the Ozone to the Hotel we usually stay in :)

We've got our friends over there having a look for the Apartments, I believe they are a short walk from Ayia Triada beach and I know where that is so doesnt seem to far from where we want to be.

Thanks again for your help, very useful

Bluemax,
I don't know that complex either :s Do you have a link?

I live in Kapparis and dont know those apartments.

Sorry Bluemax.

Thanks anyway Ian. I know they are new this year so maybe thats why no-one knows where they are. I've seen a couple on the complex advertised for rent just havent heard of them and not quite sure where they are.

Hi bluemax, If you are popping in to the Isaak will you say hello to Alex and co from us please I dont think we will manage to get away this year as we are expecting a baby at the beginning of July and the prices all seem very high since Libra collapsed!! Hope you enjoy your apartment and that it isnt too far from your usual joints. Lindsay and gang. x

Friends who live in Pernera have found the complex today, just by Orphanides and two minutes walk to Kapparis Main Street so all sounds good.

Linday - I'm sure we will be there most days and yes we will pass on your hellos. Prices are definately higher thats why we looked at private rental, being two of us Self Catering was working out quite expensive. Congratulations on the new baby too!
