Hi Darren - Not sure what "PF" means either. As a family of 2a and 2c, we've stayed in a "Large Superior Village Room" twice in Block P, once with a garden view and once with a mountain view. From the mountain view room you could just about see the adult only pool, but I dont think you could describe it as "pool front". I think I uploaded a picture of the view from this room which was fantastic and, although furthest from the main centre facilities, very quiet. The rooms were plenty big enough for us 4 and had a large double bed and a step down to a double sofa bed.
We've only been in June (always holiday in June - til this year) but last year there was a heatwave where apparently temperatures were more like those in August. After seeing the "extreme weather" warning posted in reception we just took care to drink more water, stay in the shade etc etc. It was extremely hot but not unbearable. I'm hoping it won't be any hotter than that when we go this year in July.

Thanks for the assistance. I have the booking form and I refer to what it says (still cant see any room reference) "1 x Vill Lge PF B/T 3+C + 2 extra beds" Can anyone shed any further light on the subject??
Anyone any ideas?
Me again - wondering about stupid little things!! Do the balconies have little washing line things? - with pegs? or shall I take a few for our swimwear?
They have washing lines you pull out from the wall. We never bothered with pegs - just hung stuff over the line.
My boy's 5th birthday was the day we arrived - I took some birthday candles with us and after dinner I put them in five little cakes and brought them over to him and we all sang happy birthday and he blew them out so he didn't miss a "birthday" cake.
Starting to think of alternatives now and one I'm looking at is the Hemera in Side. Shame though as I'd have loved to have gone back to Lykia next year
Yes I have noticed how expensive it looks for next year. Cosmos (the only company left to use Tesco vouchers with) have just released their 2009 prices and OMG are they expensive! For a basic family room (not the interconnecting one) I was quoted £5234.00 This was for 2 weeks end of May/beg of June 2009 Don't reckon there is much chance of saving THAT many Tesco vouchers before next year so guess we will have to look for alternatives too
Hi I e mailed Lykia 4 days ago regarding a request for top floor room and also if they could confirm what room type our TO has booked us but I havn't heard anything back, should I expect a reply? Tour Op sent out our tickets a few days ago but there is no mention on them about room type etc (no good trying to ask TO as they are pretty useless, took me many phone calls back and forth for months now to try and get the room type confirmed, they did eventually say we had interconncting rooms with 2 bathrooms but we don't have anything that confirms this). Should I e amil Lykia again or wait a little longer? It's only 2 weeks until we go
We'll be on the plane a week today!!!
What are the kids clubs like? Do the entertainers speak good English? How big is the childrens paradise it seems very big in all the pictures of it?
Darren
I'm assuming we should take our own towels for round the pool?
Hi macjohnson, No you don't need to take your own towels, they provide them for the pool!! brill means more luggage space
Wow! That's excellent. Less to carry (and more space to bring things back!!!)
How do you know what beds yours if all the towels are the same? What is the sun bed situation like end of june is ita case of getting up at the crack of dawn to beat the rush?
You will presumably have your own stuff at your sunbed - hats, books, bags etc. I've never got confused yet. The sunbeds get snapped up early at the main pools in high season but you can always get one at the beach. We go off season now and there are usually beds all day. Depends when you get up really.
I went to portugal 2years ago and at 7.30am there were saddos standing/sitting at their wee spot waiting on beds getting unchained at 8am leaving their towels on the spot running to get a few beds & back.I couldnt believe what i was seeing didnt know wether to laugh or just give them a slap! and there wasnt a german in sight.
