Hi simmey,

Your question about next year's prices is impossible to answer - do you know what prices will be like where you live next year?

Prices this year & in previous years in Bulgaria have certainly been cheaper than Spanish and probably Greek prices but next year - who knows? Prices in Bulgaria, outside the resorts, are generally much cheaper than those in the resorts.

See this thread for some idea about this year's prices.

Hi simmey,

It is a safe bet that prices will once again go up next year, however, it will probably still remain the cheapest place in Europe to holiday.
We have just returned from Sunny Beach and despite people saying prices had risen this year we could still buy a pint of lager for 1 lev ( 43p) all over the resort. Average meal for 2 in places like Condor, Fara or Djanny's would set you back about 25-30 lev ( drink included ). Cocktails are usually 2 for 1 at about 6-8 lev.

Supermarket prices are cheaper again, a bottle of lovely red Kadarka wine was only 3 lev, a large Zagorka beer 1.5 lev, 5 litres of water 2.60 lev. 200 cigarettes were 33 lev
Even with a rise next year you will find it a lot,lot cheaper than Spain.
