We are going to Co Kildaire (Newbridge) on Saturday and returning on Sunday, and are debating hiring a car, or getting a taxi. We will be flying in to Dublin.
We are only there for 1 night, as we are surprising my cousin at her wedding, so we aren't going to use the car apart from to and from the airport.
We've got a quote of roughly £60 for car hire, but am wondering what the taxi fare would be?

If you Google Newbridge taxis you will go to a site called go ireland.com which will give you the addresses and phone numbers for the three taxi firms in town. Alternatively, try the Irishrail site at http://www.irishrail.ie you can travel from Dublin Heuston to Newbridge in just over 30 minutes for roughly €16 return. I had a quick look, and there are plenty of services both days. The airbus will take you from the airport to Heuston station. Have a great time
