I am just back from Tenerife. People are always asking about the price of food and the price of beer. Well, I wonder why other things are so expensive. Jusr before leaving home I bought 5 Compeed blister plasters in Boots. They were on offer £2.99 reduced from £3.99. One day in L.C. and desperate for one, and not near my accomodation, I popped into a pharmacy there, I bought the exact same as at home and was gobsmacked when the woman said "that is 7.99 euros". The darned things are even made in the E.U. I also paid the same for a tiny bottle of mosquito bite spray at another shop. My football daft hubby was desperate to watch a game in Bobbins bar. When we got there, there were no seats available so knowing the game was being shown in Leonardo's we jumped into a taxi and for that trip we were charged 10 euros. I just feel let down by the prices and just to put the tin lid on it all, I stupidly bought a nice bottle of perfume in a nice perfume shop only to discover when I got home that I could have got it £5 cheaper in my local chemist's shop. So anyone going out there soon, make sure you wont be such a mug as I am. Never mind, I still had a brilliant holiday.
