I booked this holiday 12 months ago for myself, my family and my Friends. Having booked 3 2bedded apartments. Four weeks before we travelled my friend came onto this website and read that all 2 bedded apartments had been double booked, however this at the time was an airtours problem. We decided to check with our tour operator First Choice who on 3 separate occasions assured me that there was no problem with our rooms.
When we arrived at our coach our First Choice rep told us that all our rooms had been doubled booked.
When we arrived at the hotel we were offered 2 studios per family. Which would have meant each family being split up.
We eventually after 24 hours got 2 1bedded apartments and 2 studios.
We were offered half board as some sort of compensation. As we were not offered any alternative, we had to accept his.
I can safely say I would not visit this hotel or resort again.

Just returned back from the Bougenvilla. I went with my daughter who is 8 years old. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had all what you needed for a selfcatering holiday. The apartment was very spacious and was nice and very clean. The maids came everyday which kept it nice and clean.
They had two swimming pools the main pool is very big and more for grown up kids and adults because it is very deep and big, even though there are lifeguards you should always keep an eye on your kids especially if you go at a busy time of year. The other pool near the big top was perfect because it was not massive like the other pool so you could see the kids all the time. My daughter she loved the swimming pool it was hard to get her out of it.
The Evening entertainment was very good at the big top we really enjoyed it they had some great professional acts and the airtours team were great.
We went to the beach which was lovely you can get the Bougenvilla train to the beach which is free and runs from 10am to 6pm, there are plenty of shops to look around which was great also there is a big hypermarket not far from the beach.
We had a great holiday we loved it. I'm sure you will really enjoy your stay at the Boungenvilla.

Butlins in the sun is a good description of the Bougie.
I wouldn't return. If you want a 24hr entertainment hotel with little sleep this is the place for you.
Sunbeds are hard to come by unless you get up at 8am and then you don't havea great choice.

Me and my new husband stayed at the Bouganvilla and had a fantastic time.
The accommodation was fabulous the only 1 complaint I had was that our sheets never got changed in a fortnight!! If your looking for a place where you can go and never have to leave your hotel then this is it there is everything you could possibly need shops, doctors, bars and restaurants.
Although there is 2 pools we did struggle to get a sun lounger.
The entertainment was fantastic every night and although we don't have children we still enjoyed it.
The other good thing was the free bus/train every day except Sunday great driver11 loves to have a bit of fun.
I have to say the food wasn't bad either we ate there several times and you could take it away and eat in your room. We'll definitely be going back again !!

We stayed in a studio apartment, which was basic, but clean. Maid service 5 days out of 7, they left us a note saying when they wouldnt be coming the next day. Bed linen was clean. Towels were changed as requested - you leave them in the bath if you require fresh ones.
All the comunal areas always were cleaned well, round the pool etc was always cleaned every day. About 5 swimming pools in total, scatered around the complex, ranging from tots paddling pool to large adult pool, some salt and some fresh water. Something for all. Sunbeds were popular round the large pool, and hard to find empty in the afternoon, however there were always plenty round the back pool, near the show bar.
Our room was located the opposite side of the complex to the show bar (Big Top), so it was nice and quiet at night, however we would have been disappointed had we been in a room near the Big Top as it was very noisy until at least midnight. We found the entertainment to be a good laugh, with a mix of the entertainment staff putting on various shows, quizes as well as professional acts. The entertainers "Round the World" show is well worth watching.
The Bouganvilla provides a land train to resort centre between 10am and 6pm daily except Sunday, but it is only about a 20min walk to the beach and its a nice walk. The complex is in a residential area, so you walk through that for about 5 mins then you are on the main road, straight down to the front, lots of pubs and shops along the way.
There are a couple of restaurants on site, we didn't try the buffet as was a bit expensive, La Tasca ok for takeaway but very small portions for eat in.
If you are self catering, there is a hypermarket 10 minute walk, much cheaper than the smaller supermarkets!

Room clean, basic, small for three adults & 1 Infant. I slept on pull out in main room.
No air-con would be bad in High Season. Hotel staff polite and prompt. Location poor to resort, train to beach/resort centre stops at 6pm obviously don't want you in town at that time, sooner have you spend your money in the big top...although noticed lots of families bringing in their own booze to the big top which brings the place down a bit.
Communal areas at night reminded me of a council estate. Pools clean and well supervised. Having said all that, my 18 month old lad enjoyed every second which to me is all that matters.
There will be people screaming at their screen in disgust at my comments but out there quite a lot of people will be agreeing with me. Friends and family have all been to the Bouganvilla down the years but I think "Butlins in the sun" is coming to an end for some of us, it has run its course. Wont be returning.

What can I say bout this excellent resort?? Well it's excellent! Our first time abroad and def won't be our last.
We had a 1 bedroomed self catering apartment right next to the pool. So clean you could eat your dinner of the floor. The maids came every other day to clean and change the sheets.
The food was typical holiday food but if you like pizza or chicken you'll be fine.
The entertainment in the big top was fantastic, could not fault the crew at all.
Made some great friends around the pool, mainly because of the lunch time quiz, sneaking answers off each other. If your not afraid to join in then go to the big top, adult fun time is a blast. Watch out for the cartoon hero's!!

Great for young famlies loads to do train takes you down to the beach rooms are ok, but the studios are very small overall a good place to stay.

Arrived at the Bougie to find we had been put on the top floor when we requested low ground due to medical reasons. No problems getting moved and although we were facing on to main road room was actually better then first one.
Rooms very basic though for self catering, but we ate out every day so no problem for us. Cleaning good when done.
Best repair service ever, we had a tap that wouldn't turn of and after reporting it, the bob the builders as my son called them were out and job done in less then 10 minutes. Wouldn't get that service over here so well done.
Kids club 100% fantastic. Didn't think my 4 year old daughter would go but she loved it and the time me and my husband got on our own was much appreciated. Kids disco at night was enjoyable for them all though my 15 year old and her mate weren't that impressed at first they soon started doing cartoon hero's and haven't stopped since.
Pools were lovely couldn't keep kids out and no shortage of sunbeds.
