I stayed in Bougaville Aparthotel. It was 5.30 am when we arrived no one there to show us to our apartments we were given a map which looked like a maze, all the people that arrived with us were as confused as we were. Apartment was not cleaned, I went to reception and promised to be moved in the morning, this did not happen and after 2 days we were moved to another apartment. This looked clean but when we came back after the night out my daughter went to move the pull out bed in the living area and a rat ran across the room. Hotel security did not want to know about it, the security man who came to our apartment told me that he saw the rat running out - only for a northern ireland couple who were directly across from our apartment and heard us shouting and came to our rescue. They pulled out the fridge and saw the rat. I contacted the Holiday Reps. as the hotel did not want to contact them for me and they came very quicly and got us moved to another apartment very near the reception area. When I spoke to the Hotel Manager she said what did we expect as there was a sheep farm at one side a safari on the other and in Majorca rats were not dangerous. The problem with such a big complex is that before people move out, people are waiting to take occupancy of these rooms and apartments do not get a proper cleaning. Our holdiay reps were brilliant and only for them our holiday would have been ruined. I will not be going back to the Bougaville Aparthotel in Sa Coma. Whem i was complaining to the hotel manageress she said to me maybe we had gone to the wrong aparthotel as there was another Bougaville in Santa Ponsa, to this I replied well how come we were taken to Sa Coma and an apartment was held for us? I asked the Managaress why the aparthotel was rated at 3* and she said they had no control over the rating as it is the holiday tour operators that rate the hotels and apartments based on the facilities that they provide e.g pools, children facilities, bars restaurants etc. I also found that there were no Irish people there, it was mainly English and it was impossible to get a sunbed as the residents were putting out towels very early in the morning. I took a picture from the holiday brocure with me and I showed it to the Managaress and she said that is a very old photograph as the sunbeds in that photo were replaced when the complex was renevated about 5 - 7 years previously.

I have been going to Bougainvillea for 8years. Myself, my husband and 2 children have just returned after another fantastic holiday.

The weather was fantastic, the food was lush the staff were all very friendly as always ,very very clean.

All of the swimming pools are always cleaned on a regular basis.

The boogie train is very handy we are already booking for next year wouldn't even think about going anywhere else this place is perfect.

The entertainment was spot on this year there was a real mixture something for everyone I thought.

This is our sixth visit to this hotel but the first time we have been self catering we have prefered to have more flexability this year.

The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent, the pool is cleaned every day.There are an army of cleaners who clean your apartment every day and if not they leave you a note on your pillow to let you know when their next visit will be(they even folded my pajamas and put them under my pillow for me).

The apartments are an adequate size we had a one bedroom for 2 adults and 2 kids 15 12 a lot of people on this site have complained about their apartments mmyou don,t go on holiday to sit in your apartment all day .

The only complaint we had is that the exterior could do with painting.The hotel is about 20 mins walk from the centre of sa coma,we have found a differnt route through the residential area it still takes as long but you get to see some lovely houses,we enjoy the walk much better than getting the free bouggie train which runs every 30 mins from the hotel,its like being on a cattle bus.

The hotel staff are always friendly and always willing to help if there is any problems.

We didnt see much of the entertainment as we have seen most of it before we did enjoy the hypnotist even though we,ve seen him before he is well worth watching.If you don,t expect too much from the entertainment team you wo,nt be dissapointed after all they are not professionals.

We would reccomend the Sportsman great food staff very freindly make you feel really welcome.Also try Delaneys especially on Freddie Star/Elvis nights fantastic,on Freddie Star night we had only called in for a coupl of drinks ended up stayin till 2am.

There are problems getting sunbeds if you want to get up at 5am toget one more fool you we were happy using the chairs round the pool area.The large pool gets very busy so we prefer to stay around the small pool it is much quieter.

It does get a bit noisy at night but what do people expect when there are 615 apartments on the complex we have never had any problems with drunken teenagers I am not saying there aren't any we have been lucky not to experience anything it is a complex though that does cater for older children thats why my kids still enjoy it theres always something for them to do as there was when they were younger.

We had a fantastic holiday yet again and have already booked for next year.

This is our 1st visit to the bouganvilla and will be the last. The food was repetitive, tasteless and the fruit was brown and battered we were not the only family to be going elsewhere to eat.

The bouganvilla has carts going around empting bins and the staff travel quite fast in them so it can be quite dangerous for children.

You have to be up early to get a lounger around the pool we found that some people started taking them into there rooms during the night or sleeping on them. We were shattered and have returned needing another holiday.

The other holiday makers were very rowdy and the police were there 5 times during our 11 nights stay. There was alot of teenagers drinking and getting sexual in the kids park.

It is a glorified butlins full of charvs, the people who return here must be fond of a treat. The staff are very friendly rooms cleaned every other day but are very very small especially for a family of 4 or more. We have stayed in bigger. And the reps were fantastic keeping the children entertained not just of a evening but around the pool also they work very hard.

They say it is a short walk to the resort centre try 30 mins walk your on holiday you dont want to be walking they should have the train on longer.

All in all we made the best of the holiday that we could and came away having made friends with a few nice couples who felt the same.

Basic 3 star. We kept the room clean and tidy ourselves but the cleaners did come in and mop the floor and changed the sheets twice in the week we were there.

Kids enjoyed themselves at the massive pools but the big drawback was trying to get a sunbed at the pool. I have no intention of getting up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed and therefore never got a sunbed that week. This is a first.

The boogie train is good,(if you can get on it.) Entertainment, quite good, they try and cater for everybody. Be early to get a front seat. Overall, too many people in the one complex. Heard a lot of people complaining about sizes of the rooms.

Has taken me 2 weeks to calm down enough to be able to write this. The worst holiday I have ever been on. Asked to be moved within 24hrs of arriving. Had to get up at 6.30 to sit on sunbeds for 1hr until security staff went off duty. If you didn't stay with them he would remove your towels and then you would lose the beds and would not get another for the rest of day. Family in apt below ours resorted to taking theirs inside every night so they didn't have to worry. Far too many people around the pools, got quite dangerous in the pool at times, too many inflatables and water pistols. My son was swimming under water and tried to come up but found himself under a rather large dingy. Dressed for dinner or to go out and adults and children would squirt you with the water out of the pool. Funny 1st time but not again and again.

Drinks machines were smashed to pieces by the rowdy teenagers twice during my 7 nights and tried to stop a 13/14 English boy and girl headbutting and kicking another m/c outside reception. Watched a 10yr old taking the rocks off the waterfall and smash it into the bottom of the pool. Why are the British sooooo destructive.

Had to endure endless nights of fighting screaming singing and some rather suspicious behaviour in toilet block opp our apts.

Staff looked fed up and who can blame them, I was ashamed to be British.

Would never go here again and would not send my worst enemy here.

If you are a loudmouthed family with asbo's you will fit right in here, otherwise spend your money on somewhere else.

The 'Boogie' too built up & overcrowded. Apartment was fairly cramped for 2 adults and 2 older kids. Also the smallest balcony we'd ever been on, had to step over one another to get in & out.

Train to resort far too small for the amount of people wanting to use it. Complex too far from resort to walk during the heat of the day.

Big Top entertainment PA system seemed to have a few problems during our stay. Take away food was good value for money though and good quality. Maids work really hard and apt was reasonably clean. Extremely noisy at night.

Too many very drunk people shouting and swearing and only one security man who seemed not to notice this.

We booked 1 x two bedroom apartment self-catering. Upon arrival we were asked if we would like to move to 2 studios which would be next to each other and they would upgrade us to half board free of charge for the entire stay of our holiday. We were given the keys to both the 2 bedroom and the studios and told to take our time having a look and let them know. We decided to take the studios and the upgrade and were more than pleased with this. There were lots and lots of people that were offered this upgrade and it became apparent that they had majorly overbooked the 2 bedroom apartments which was causing some arguments but it suited us.

If you have booked a 2 bedroom and you really do need it (i.e. 2 adults and 2 small children) then stand your groud, people that did this did get their original room from what I saw.

There seems to be an army of cleaners who do not stop sweeping and cleaning. It was like a scene from the Disney film Fantasia when all the brooms come out sweeping up! I did find though that our sheets weren't changed often enough as it is very hot with no air conditioning in the rooms and you can get quite sweaty. I think mine were changed once, but I don't sweat a lot ha ha. My partner just pulled the sheets off his bed and put them in the bath so the maid changed his sheets then.

The apartments are situated about 20 mins walk from Sa Coma town. It can be a daunting walk in the daytime heat but there is the wally wagon train that goes every half hour from 10-6 except on Sunday that takes you to the beach and this is right by the shops and restaurants and bars etc.

If you want to get a cab at night it's only 4 Euros (ish) so it won't break the bank.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. All reception staff were very smiley and nice and answered every question we ever had.

The reps are very good from what we saw although we didn't book any trips and our son is 15 so he didn't go kids clubs!

The daytime reps go around the pool all day inviting adults and kids to take part in activities and there is a daily 'noon quiz' which is entertaining. I went to see shows in the Big Top twice while I was there. They were very good. Saw the Jackson Five tribute band and some Beijing Acrobats who were amazing.

The only reason I have said that I wouldn't visit this hotel again is that it was very big and crowded for my liking. We had to set our alarm for 6am to guarantee sun beds! Which turned out ok as you just took your pillow down and finished off your sleep in the cool down by the pool, but still it was a bit ridiculous as there is plenty of room for lots more sunbeds! Daft.

We booked our hotel last August as a party of fifteen we booked and paid for 3 /2 bedded apartments. After going on one of these websites we had read that the 2 bedded apartments had been double booked. After checking with our travel agent three times we were told our apartments were fine. Had a lovely flight got to our coach and met our rep who then had the awful job of informing us that our apartments had been doubled booked. We than endured over 24 hours of hell waiting for apartments to be sorted out eventually two of the families were offered 1 bedded apartment and the other family 2 studios all families were offered half board. Have to say that this was not really expectable but were told that it was this or nothing. We had to sleep five in a 1 bedded apartment and it was awful one of the families had to split up in to two studios needless to say we are taking this further with our tour operater.

I visited the Bougie six years ago and have to say it has gone down hill since then. Drunken teenagers a big problem sun beds a nightmare.

The entertainment staff worked hard and did make the holiday slightly a better stay.

Food at La Tascas very good and not a bad price beats working in to town in blazing sunshine I would of loved to have had a good a time as my last visit but it was no where near the mark will not be going again ever.

If you have booked a two bedded apartment I would check that you are going to get it and I would advise you to get it in writing
