In my opinion an excellent, clean and peacefully located apartment complex, close to the beach and surrounding area of Playa de los Pocillos.

We had one of the refurbished apartments apartments but they were still completing others while we were there. We found the staff to be very helpful and polite at all times, all areas were clean and tidy, and we saw only a couple of cockroaches in the 2 week stay we were there, in what we have normally experienced to be an infested Canary Islands, and I assume this can only be down to the cleanliness of the hotel.

We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was very spacious, with a pool view, cleaned 5 times a week with bed linen changed once a week, and towels changed twice a week. Our room had an air conditioning unit in the lounge area and a TV. which showed english channels, both available to hire for 18 euros per week each, and also a mini-safe in one of bedrooms, also for hire.

The complex has 4 pools spread out across the complex, and I did not see any reserving of sunbeds by any of the nationalities staying here, (German, British, Spanish, Irish, Dutch). The main pool has a small bar and restaurant on the side. Small beer costs 1.8 euro and a large beer is not obtainable in either of the hotel bars. The entertainment did seem to be centred around the Spanish guests as most of the other guests went out at night. There is also a short cut through a gate at the back of the main pool area, which leads to the main road and beach about 5 mins. walk away. This is closed between 10.30 and 11.00 at night and will add another 5 min walk around the complex to the main reception area when this is closed.

Can't comment on the food as we were self catering, however you could visit the main canteen and pay per adult and child for the evening if you wanted to, approx. 10 euro per adult, and 7 per child.

The complex is a good 30 min. walk away from Puerto del Carmen, aprox. 4 euro taxi ride, or 1 euro each on the regular bus service. Surrounding area of Playa de os Pocillos has numerous bars, restaurants and shops, and is only a 10-15 min walk from the smaller resort and beach of Mata Gorda.

Overall a good, clean apartment complex, in a quiet location, close to a lovely(dark sand)beach, within easy reach of Puerto del Carmen if you want it.

Just got back from holidaying in don paco castilla.
Very disappointed with room, very sparsely furnished and stank of stale smoke. Paint work wanted sprucing up and all soft furnishings also. Very basic accommodation.

We found that as we were AI, the waiters didn

We booked this holiday at very short notice and settled for a 2 week all inclusive deal.We had a Thompson flight from London Stansted and this was on time and perfect.
My partner and I were a bit sceptical about the resort as we thought it might be too quiet, but we were delighted with its location, right close to the beach and a few minutes walk from a parade of bars/restaurants/shops.
We could not fault the hotel in many ways, except perhaps for the inconsistant hot water and the evening entertainment, which was quite pityful at times.
We had a great time, met some great people and would definitely go again without a second thought. The staff are all very friendly and soon calling you by your christian names. The all inclusive bar service is faultless, as are the dining rooms.

Just back from 2 weeks in Don Paco. Its our 4th time in Lanzarote, stayed in the La Geria Hotel, 3 minutes away from Don Paco the last 3 times. As our 2 children are a bit older we wanted the flexibility of self catering apartment rather than being confined to hotel food and meal times. Arrived at 9:00pm and temperature was in the mid 30's. Room was very hot with no air con and there were no fans left to rent. Fridge wasn't working and leaking on the floor. First impressions were - a big mistake. The next day however things were a lot better. Discovered the fridge wasn't working because the fuse was tripped. Had reported th problem and 2 days later a new fridge was installed anyway. Apartment was clean and we had a perfect location with a ground floor apartment overlooking one of the quieter pools (2 pools have resteraunts attached and are very noisy). Having spent 2 weeks there, it is definitely our best holiday in lanzarote. Self catering is the way to go as the apartments are in a great location near Los Jameos Playa and Matagorda, and a short taxi ride to pte del Carmen. Ate in Don Paco once and it was pretty good. The supermarket was very reasonable, there was good interenet access av ailable etc. Facilities were good, but pool tables could do with replacing. Cockroaches were a problem - we had about 6 in the apartment and outside there were loads of them running around at night. Once you kept door shut, it was fine. While I wouldn't rush back to Don Paco, all in all, it was a great holiday and I wouldn't discourage someone who had booked it. We had a great holiday. If you could get the service and comfort of La Geria Hotel but on a self catering basis it would be perfect. If money is no object - stay in the Yaiza Princess in Playa Blanca - one of the best hotels I have seen and will stay there at some stage. In terms of things Don Paco could do better - while the complex is clean, I wouldn't describe it as 'spotless'. We had a 9:00pm flight back - there was no possibility of getting a late checkout and there were no facilities to shower / change after spending a day by the pool having had to check out at 12:00. There are showers by the pool, but you can't exactly take out the shower gel etc. Some upgrading is needed - in places it feels a tiny bit 'tired'. apart from that, no regrets and had a great holiday

On arriving at the Don Paco we immediately noticed how clean the complex appeared. We had to wait about 40 minutes for our room.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and very clean, although basic very comfy. Cooking facilities were poor as we only had a 2 ring electric hob, but we were not worried as apart from breakfast(cereal for the kids, toast for us) eating out was our plan.

The Don Paco is a bit tired and in need of refurbishing but is kept spotlessly clean.

The beds are comfy and no problem with hot water and a good shower. Our balcony was a very good size and overlooked one of the pools with sea view. Would recommend a 2 bed as we heard 1 bed apartments were small.

The poolside bar/restaurant served good snacks and reasonable evening meals.

The staff here were mostly very friendly and helpful and loved the kids.

The daytime activities water polo, shooting, beach football, darts were great and kept our children aged 9 and 13 occupied I must mention the entertainments manager Steffan he was a lovely guy and great with the kids. There is also a kids club for the younger ones, tennis, games room, mini golf, and numerous pool tables

Stayed at the Don Paco Castilla Aparthotel 20 adults and 2 children.

The staff were really nice and helpful nothing too much trouble.

The rooms were very spacious and cleaned regularly. Only a stones throw away from the beach. The choice of 4 pools internet, laundrette, supermarket everything was available on this complex even a hairdressers very good value for money would we go again? The answer would be yes.

Have just returned from a lovely holiday in Don Paco and had a brilliant time.

The room we stayed in was clean and tidy on arrival and was maintained the whole week we stayed. The cleaners came every day and always left clean towels and changed the bedding as well.

The four pools around the complex were always clean and maintained every day without fail.

The bar at the pool was reasonable and the staff could have been a little more cheerful but were helpful.

The complex is very clean and tidy and well kept all year round, and always has been everytime I have stayed.

The complex is only a walk from the beach, shops, bars and resturants, and if you want to go up into puerto del calmen it's a 20min walk away or a taxi or bus ride which is really cheap.

The reception staff are very helpful if you need them at any time then they are available 24 hours a day and do speak really good English.

This holiday was my 3 hoilday here and as always don paco didnt let me down, (as I knew they wouldn't) both myself and my partner had a brilliant holiday and hope to return for Christmas or if not in the near future.

Thanks don paco for a fabulous holiday!!!!!

We stayed in the Don Paco for 7 nights self catering. The self catering equipment is si=uitable for making light snacks as there are only 2 electric rings and a kettle and coffee machine, no oven or grill but plenty of crockery and pans etc. This was not an issue for us as we had not been inteding to cook much.

There is a pool bar/ resturaunt which serves drinks and meals all day from 10.00am to 11.00pm we had two meals at the hotel which were of excellent quality and good value.

The hotel is in very good condition, very clean and well kept. Although some external walls could do wirth a fresh lick of paint it's mostly through wear and tear and not a big deal. We saw plenty of maintenance men while we were ther and they seem to take great pride in their hotel.

The location is good if youu want to be close enough to the action in peurto del carmen when you want it but far enough away for peace and quiet. Los Pocillos is about 20 minutes walk, all flat from peurto del carmen which we did nearly every day, or you can have a taxi for 5 euros.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and will do all that they can to help with queries. When we arrived our room was being cleaned and we had to wait for 1 and a half hours but the staff advised us where we could leave our luggage and gave us directions to the resturaunt while we waited. We didnt bother but it was good of them to tell us. Teh bar and reception staff all speak English but the cleaning and maintenance staff speak only broken English. The bar staff are very friendly and like to speak to the guests.

We did not use the hotel entertainment but there is a disco and bingo every night and other guests who went said that it was very good for families.

We would visit the Don Paco again. The cleaning service in the rooms is about 4 times a week. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk form the shops and bars of playa los pocillos.
