Wow. There really is a lot I would to say about Siesta Beach Apartments. Firstly, when we arrived from a 4 hour flight from Luton arriving at 11pm Turkish time, we were greeted immediately with most of the staff. They seemed very pleased to have us there and didn't seem like an act either.
We stayed at the top bar for some chips, because we didn't eat on te plane, was served immediately with the best of service. The cocktail menu also seemed very pleasing, just what we needed after a flight.
We were taken to our room by Joseph, a friendly member of the staff with a constant smie on his face. Ozzie was also another very attractive member of staff that was pleased to see you everyday.
The facilities in the top bar was excellent. This included internet access, pool table, music and sky news.
Our room was fantastic. Smelling of clean sheets and perfectly spacious. When we arrived in our room there was a basket of bread and cheese which was great to eat in the morning as a small snack.
Everything about our holiday was fantastic and I believe the Siesta Beach made it brilliant. Never have I wanted to return so badly.
I hope you will trust my word and go to Gumbet a lovely place, suitable for everyone. x

whatch out all you single ladies that go here the bar staff are all only interested in two things getting you very drunk and then getting you into bed, thought i was having a great holiday untill it all dawned on me whatr they were all about, be carefull you have been warned, i will never ever ever go back to turkey!!!!

Great apartments visited twice 2006 going again October 2007.
No complaints or wouldn't go back. Any problems are dealt with there an then

Our room was disgusting smelt musty and shabby. We were located below the Turkish bath obviously this room has had a flood in the past. We complained to our rep and said she would try to get us moved but not to expect anything better. She asked at reception but was told they were full and suggested we pay for airconditioning to get rid of the smell why should we? Our room was cool because it was like a cave due to its location. We also found mouldy bread in the cupboard and mould on cutlery.
Breakfasts were very good very loud music till early hours good job we took our earplugs.
We travel abroard 3 times a year and this is the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in

We arrived at the Siesta apartments at around 4am and got shown to our room (this was allocated on arrival) and being my first holiday ever I was unsure of what to expect and was to be honest a little disappointed.
We were right at the bottom of the stairs down from the Top Bar, it smelt a little bit of sewerage, and our view from the front door was a brick wall although it did have flowers on it. We had room 412 No window in bathroom, no light getting into bedroom as flowers outside and no view from kitchen window apart from another wall so very dark.
The cleaners did a great job though and decorated our beds to which was a lovely touch. Water was often very cool, kitchen was very basic although we didn't use anything there. Although the First Choice area was the top end of the resort we mixed with the Thomas Cook lot at the bottom end less steps and the staff were so much more friendly.
The Dolphin Bar was fantastic Muzzy doing his thing! Totti being naughty and getting into trouble *WHATEVER* .. and the other guys all very lovely and always put on a good evenings entertainment, Brave for the brilliant food and breakfasts,
The Location was ok, the view from the top was fantastic, The Rep was ok although we felt a little misinformed on a couple of trips we booked up for.

Upon arrival at the apartments everything seemed ok. However when we were showed to our room I was quite dissapointed. Although it was tidy and modern it absolutely stunk especially the bathroom and this seemed to be the problem in other appartments too. I read on this site that Thomson and portlands were given the better appartments and I travelled with Portlands. If we had one of the better rooms I hate to smell the other tour operator rooms.
Most of the appartments seem to be on 3 levels and if you are on 1st and 2nd floors your balcony is hardly worth having, you would probobly only fit 1 chair on the balcony, they are tiny. The ground floor terrace was big enough for 2 chairs only.
The pool areas do however seem very nice but were extremely busy. We visited the beach over the road and that seemed quite nice and fairly quite. It is the Siesta's own beach but others can use it and the Siesta charges you 4 lira each to use the beds which I believe is wrong.
The hotel does lay on evening entertainment most nights. This seems to be ok. Be aware they play loud music at the bar until about 4-5am everynight and it is very loud. The Turkish bar staff are trying to impress the british ladies. Many rooms are near the bar area with the music and be warned if you dont like noise you wont sleep and no way will they turn it down if asked.
The food at the hotel was ok and pretty much priced the same as most other places.
The hotel staff I found mostly polite however they see a woman or young girl and they wont leave them alone.
I wouldn't visit these apartments again but it was memorable and I did enjoy my holiday but stayed in many better 3 star hotels/apartments

Hotel very clean if a little dated, not a lot of hot water. Hotel location was great loved the top swimming pool, food was better than I expected. Staff were superb. They couldn't do enough for you. There was entertainment every night after 10 pm great for families with teenagers. Our room was down from the top bar, 212 no noise from bars at night. Would visit hotel again.

We stayed in a room by the top bar overlooking the bay which was very picturesque.
We did not hear any noise coming from the Top Bar which I had been concerned about even though it is played quite late.
The room was clean and well maintained although the kitchen facilities were very basic.
At the end of our holiday Housekeeping decorated all our beds in flower petals and made the towels into heart shapes which looked amazing!
All staff members were very polite and friendly we especially made friends with the waiter Alexo who was great!
The Siesta do their own boat trip which I highly recommend and only cost

We arrived at midnight from our cardiff - bodrum flight,lights, music, staff and holiday makers still around the bar.
We were made more than welcome by Muzzy, Volki and a quiet guy at reception who all helped with our cases ans settling us in. Showed us how to use the key ( electric fob for the wall )
Cheched whether we needed anything and left us to unpack.
