hi we were in alanya in august they only took turkish lira and the euro . our hotel change our english £ but none of the shops took the £ . we were in avsailer so alanya itself may be different

If you have or know someone with a Turkish bank account, the bank is always the best place by far.
if in Turgetries the post office is good, but the queues are slow.

Yes.All the currency exchange shops, of which there are plenty, will. Theres usually a board outside the shops with the latest exchange rates on it.
