A trip to Walt Disney World is set to become a little more expensive for some.
Guests bringing their cars, or rental cars, and staying at resort hotels will now have to pay for overnight parking.
They will have to pay from $13 per night to $24 per night depending on the hotel, which will be tacked on to hotel bills for reservations made after March 21.
The fee is valid only for car owners staying overnight at the hotel and not those visiting the resort for the day.
"In the tourism industry, it's fairly common for resort hotels in major destinations like Orlando or Miami to charge for parking. In fact, most resorts in the Orlando market already charge for parking and have been doing so, well before Disney," said Erin Power, spokesperson for the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association.
Standard parking for campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will still be free.
Disney Vacation Club members will also be exempt from the parking fees when spending points to stay at resort hotels.
Disney also said valet parking fees at Deluxe resorts will rise from $25 to $33.
Parking fees at Walt Disney World hotels have been mooted many times, especially as overnight parking fees are applicable at Disneyland hotels in Anaheim.
