Hi all. I am looking to go to Madrid over the easter holidays and was wondering if anybody could recommend any "not too expensive" hotels located in the city and near to shops, sight-seeing opportunites etc.

Hi ya we stayed at the Room Mate Mario at about £255 a double with breakfast for five days, it's a retro minimalistic hotel but very popular the continental help yourself breakfast served up to 12:00.
Very handy for every where very near the Royal Palace and of course the Opera House.
Enjoy this lovely city we certainly did .
