Not always Baldur, I went to opticians in Varna on our first day and was quoted more than UK for my prescription and they wouldn't guarantee time factor. If you have a complicated prescription just buy the frames only.
I also tried the JOY optika in the new Piccadilly centre who also quoted about the same as UK.

Most things in Piccadilly Park looked overpriced to me, Patka, especially electrical/electronic items.

Agreed Baldur the prices are a bit higher than the places we know but for the average tourist will still be considerably better than resorts.
