Hi Guys - can someone please tell me when the american kids go back to school in the summer? We were in florida the other summer and we noticed a big difference in the theme park queues which was around the 14th august - i think they go back start of august but not sure. we are wanting to plan our trip so it co-insides with them going back

MOST.... but not all schools.... end at the beginning of June and go back middle of August. Northern states tend to end middle of June and go back 1st Sept. Since Florida is in the south, then the first instance would apply for most people.
This year the Florida schools went back on August 20th. The parks were much less busy after that.
And rates drop dramatically for hotels etc right after Labor Day- first Mon in September which is the official end of summer for travel purposes.
