Thanks Darren
John
Is there still in flight entertainment? And does anyone know which movies are playing?
Many thanks

IFE is still available on long haul flights and is available to view on Thomas Cooks inflight magazine. You'll just need to register with Ink Publishing to view it.

I just picked up my tickets to travel on 16th July on TCX081K and return on 81L to Santa Clara. On the front of the booklet under the address page it states 4/SN/16/07 which is 4 flying to Santa Clara on 16/07. It then has G-TCX/C-Cuba/AG-TCX-NOIFE. I keep seeing that you can't say what plane will be on a route until the day before but this certainly looks like plane codes. I am concerned as it is short haul planes and the plane in the ticket book states a A330 354 seats. The booklet also comes with a letter about their service regarding meals, duty free and IFE stating if you are flying long haul IFE will be available. Will this be PSP's and will the be free in Premuim?
Dont worry this code is used on everyones tickets and is just a quick identifier and has no actual meaning outside of the company, its actually wrong in your case because IFE will be available.
Thanks BeeFree, that has made me a happy chappy. At least until the next panic moment!
will be travelling to Montego Bay on the 28th December, have never flown with Thomas Cook so would just like to know some details about the premium service. How is the seat, the entertainment, the food and also the check in at Manchester airport.
Any help much appreciated.
Ellie
You'll find aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). The premium cabin is more spacious per seat than the economy cabin with 35" seat pitch and slightly wider seats (18"). You'll have more selection of films on the seat back IFE and of course complimentory drinks throughout the flights. Overall, it's a nice cabin environment but I still question it's value for money when you're only getting 2" extra seat pitch over the economy cabin. Check-in is from desks 2-12 in Manchesters T1 with 2 being the priority / premium desk. Just head straight to the far left of the check-in area, you'll see it. T1 isn't too bad, although it's more like a shopping centre than an airport these days!

Thanks for your quick reply Darren, can you tell me if it is a running loop film or the choose and pause (not sure of their proper names)
From my username, you may realise that I love Cayo Coco in Cuba.
Unfortunately, the only tour operator who fly directly there is Thomas Cook.
My husband has had surgery on his back and finds the economy seats too uncomfortable for such a long flight, so we always travel in the premium cabin. This can be quite expensive, sometimes costing £250 each. We had an unfortunate experience coming back last month when a two year old child sitting directly behind me decided to scream for the duration of the flight.
What I was wondering is, does anyone know how the pricing of the premium seats are worked out and is there a way of getting them cheaper?
Many thanks
IFE is the usual looped system rather than on-demand. The aircraft fitted with the on-demand system (G-TCXA) is deployed on other duties through the summer.
Darren
Welcome onboard

There's not a lot you can do with the price of premium seating. It's generally in demand so seats are rarely available at a discount unless there's a late cancellation. Even then, they're normally offered at the same price or only a slight discount. Note that from May 2011, Thomas Cook are withdrawing the premium product.
Darren
will it be back for December as that is when I will be travelling ?
It should be back on long haul duties by then, but there's only a 1 in 6 chance of it actually operating your flight.
Darren
I can but hope then, thanks Darren
Thanx dazbo
If you mean from May 2011, there will be no premium cabin on their aircraft so no premium seats, only economy.
As mentioned above, TCX won't be offering a premium cabin from May 2011. I suspect the cabin will be offered as extra legroom seating.

Looking at the YSYC website and putting in our details the site says it cannot find TCX926 or TCX927 we leave from Glasgow next May is it to early to book this. Also do I have to add zeros or any other letters to Flight numbers as I notice some have K or L after the numbers.Tried to call TC customer service but wait time 30mins so hung up. Help please?
Because flight numbers are changing next Summer the current system doesnt recongnise the new flight numbers, you could try adding K and L to the first of your flight numbers, that for the outbound.
