Had a run around on the scooter this morning and the air temperature is definitely rising though still maybe a bit chilly for visitors in the evening so a cardi for the ladies I think

Clear blue skies and a nice breeze but 42 degrees in the direct sunlight in the garden and that is 107 degrees in farenheit

Hope to get into Marmaris this week sometime and will get another thermometer for the air temperature

Just for Geordie 1970 to ease his/her mind and make them feel better

Gales and torrential rain in Icmeler today with temperatures down to 15 degrees and worse to come for the next 3 weeks

Seems there is an asteroid in front of the sun blocking its rays to the Med and to be more precise the southern Turkish resorts

Winter woolies and wellies are worth bringing and maybe a wetsuit

I think John may have been a little sarcastic! There's a chance of thunderstorms later in the week, but it's warm and dry at the moment.

I have just looked on Wind GURU as recommended by some ex pats who live in Fethiye and the weather doesnt show any thumderstorms thank goodness!
I think John was joking as on his photos today the weather looks glorious. :tup
The thunderstorms in Turkey are very impressive to watch anyway so I or 2 will be OK as long as they are on an evening. :sun2

Ok back to the serious stuff of the weather

Today is feeling very sweaty and I think we have rain coming in the next few days

Not much of a breeze about and there are also a few clouds here and there with it being very hazy out to sea

Temperature in the sun at 38 degrees

I am off into Marmaris in a little while and will pick up another thermometer so I can also give the temperatures in the shade

Hi were looking at going to Turkey (royal dragon resort) end of october for half term, can someone tell me if its still going to be sunbathing weather and warm enough for the children to be in the swimming pools, many thanks!!

andreat,

Welcome onboard :tup
October is still warm, but don't be surprised if you get a little rain or an odd storm as it can be a little unsettled at times. Temperatures in the day will still be mid to late 20's and late teens or early 20's at night. Pools will still be warm enough to swim in.

Hi andreat and welcome to HT. If I am correct, the Royal dragon is in Side. This would mean you fly in to Antalya which should still be very pleasant in October.I would take a cardi or wrap for the evenings though.

Thank you both for getting back to me, yes it is in side, I wasn't sure what to do as we have booked it but I did phone up travel agents to see if we could move it to the end of August if need be. I just started
To panic as we go the 23 oct and want to lay by the pool and the children to use the water slides etc, so it's October or august.....I've never been to turkey so I don't really know what to do!!! Thanks again for your response :-)
