When we reached the hotel at 5am I have to say I was very, very impressed with what I saw, the arch that you drive through then the marble as you make your way to the reception and the staircase leading to the upper balcony.

Unfortunately all this soon pailed into insignificance when we arrived at our room. I had (I thought) reserved a room with a bedroom and seperate lounge because of the teenage girls but was just a little miffed at getting just a large room with two single beds and a sofa/bed (with no linen or pillows. When I attempted to explain this to the reception girls they couldn't understand what my complaint was???

One of the bellboys eventually came to my aid and give him his due he did a marvelous job of calming me down and then gave my wife and I another room to sleep in, but this didn't solve our problem for the next night. After speaking with Hugh (FC Rep and blinding geezer) he managed to get them to offer us another room. Now if you go to this hotel and your room is wrong if they offer you room 910, trust me, turn it down flat, nice big room, marvelous view but when you enter the room if smells as if half a dozen cats have visited before you (if you know what I mean). So as you may have worked out we turned it down, to cut a long story short we had to shell out another 840 Lev

The hotel was great. When we arrived late at night the hotel looked fantastic and very grand. There was food available for us on arrival.

The rooms were great with a fantastic view of mountains and sea. Evedry where was kept clean, the maids ensured towels and linen were changed daily, and the rooms were clean and fresh.

Although their English was limited, they did try to make you feel was comfortable as possible. The other hotel staff were just as friendly.

The food was good and varied, the children's corner was an especially nice touch. The pool and beach were fantastic (mind your feet on the sand though, it is a bit warm)they were kept clean and tidy.

The FC team did a great job. The children couldn't get enough of the BBKC and thought the reps were great. The evening entertainment was all in good fun and the adults had as much fun as the kids.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and we are already saving for next year !!!!!!!!!

Just returned from our first visit to Bulgaria and have had a great time.

The hotel looks very impressive as you arrive (after many hours in Bourgas airport - nightmare!) and the rooms are nice and big. Everywhere is very clean and all the staff are very keen to please. Few niggly problems like a leaky shower etc but all sorted out very quickly by the reps and the maintenance staff.

Wasn't overly impressed with the food but there are other places to eat if you are prepared to queue to book a table - still, no one starved!

Lovely weather - great thunder and lightening at night! Only one day of rain but we all managed to come home with good sun tans! Take a jacket for the night time as it can be quite chilly after about 8 o clock.

First Choice entertainers were great - especially loopy Leanne and Smelly Kelly! Kids really enjoyed it and made new friends.

Hotel is in a fantastic location and you don't really need to leave the complex if you don't want to. Lovely beach - sea much warmer than the pool!

Overall a nice place which is good for families.

Looks lovely on arrival - but hotel is not 4 Star.
Not safe at all whilst there - 2 holiday makers broke arms, 3 broke legs & 1 ankle. Resident ambulance on complex.

A teenager fell down the swimming pool man hole which was left open & bruised her spine. Could have been a lot worst if she had not landed on the maintenace man.

Worst thing to happen - a lady whilst we were there was attached by the resident deer who jumped on her while she was sun bathing and head butted her giving her 2 black eyes, a lump on her head & numerous bruising on her arms & legs.

So please keep your children away from this animal. It should be in the wild not on a complex we loads of children. No warnings received from Reps!

Don't drink the water from the pool bars - bar staff seen filling up dispensors with tap water.

Going to contact First Choice regarding the above because Health & Safety needs to be seriously sorted out at this Hotel before anything worst happens.

Just be extra careful!

First impression on arrival was very nice. The food there was a good variety there are 2 english chefs so I think thats makes a difference.

The staff where very friendly and loved the children. The floor in the restaurant was very slippery so just be careful, and round the pool. The entertainment for the children was very good especially the 2 reps Tiny Tom and Smelly Kelly.

The location wasn,t to bad but if you like a walk in the evening you are limited.

In all we had a good time would go back in a few years.

The Royal Park hotel is an excellent holiday for familys and large groups. The hotel is constantly cleaned all day the maids work extremly hard and the gardeners of all ages.

Well what can I sa,y we watched from our loungers it must have been a 60 year old lady working and she seemed to enjoy it too much like hard work to me.

The food is of high standards, the desserts could have been better but overall plenty of it just make sure you get your cutlery and mugs early on.

The location is limited if you like to walk out on an evening but still plenty to do on resort.

The staff were attentive and patient good with the little ones.and what can i say about the fc reps faybalina and smelly kelly they are brilliant with the kids and adults they made our holiday special.

Our little one was in ore of them truely great team of staff we would deffinatly go back again in the future.

We had an excellent holiday at the Royal Park and although it is mainly for families, you can just chill out if you choose to.

We did have a slight problem on arrival and this was that i had booked a Sea View and was given a room without one. When I complained the Receptionist she said that they would try to sort it the following morning. I have to admit that I was quite stubborn and demanded to be moved immediately. As we only had only booked for the week, I didn't want to waste part of my first full day waiting to see if they would move us and then having to unpack when in fact although we had arrived late friday night/early saturday morning, I could have unpacked most things and got up the next morning ready to start my holiday. The Receptionist kept telling me that she couldn't move us without the managers say so and he wasn't back in until 9.30 the following morning. I was not having this and told her that I would stand in reception until I was moved. This went on for about 30 mins until she finally gave us another room. We had to wait another 45 mins for the room to be prepared but the room we were then given was perfect. I did feel slightly guilty on the girl but when you have paid alot of money for your holiday I believe that it should be right and perhaps if my holiday had been for 2 weeks rather than 1 I would have been more patient......maybe.

The Hotel is spotlessly clean and although I had heard reports about the toilets in the hotel being nasty, this is something that i didn't witness. The hotel staff are constantly cleaning and one day when we had about 20 mins of rain they even came out when it had stopped and began mopping it up! Our chamber maid, Adalena was friendly and polite. We had clean towels left for us every day and sheets were changed frequently. Every where you walk in this hotel whether it be the toilets or the Reception you will see people cleaning.

I found the hotel food quite nice and would have probably rated it higher but we have rated it as a group. There is always plenty to eat and even with couple of 'picky' eaters (partner and daughter)none of us were ever hungry. Be patient if there are no cups or cutlery, the staff are constantly trying to keep on top of everything, and will get the these things topped up again as soon as possible. One morning we very nearly missed breakfast and thought with only 10 mins to go before they stopped serving there would be nothing left, but they were still bringing out freshly cooked food and we managed to have everything that we wanted.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us. It is in a beautiful setting. The place does not party on until the early hours so perhaps wouldn't suit people who like to party all night but Sunny Beach is only 5 - 10 mins away in taxi and this place never sleeps so we found Royal Park a perfect base.
The nearby Water Park in Sunny Beach is worth a visit but just be careful on the biggest slides - they are mental and scared the life out of me but there are plenty of others and lots for the little ones as well.
Nessebar is certainly a place you have to see if you like shopping and beautiful surroundings. We had a day here and spent most of it shopping! We ate at a lovely resturant overlooking the sea and the people are very friendly. Take time to see Old Nessebar, it is absolutely beautiful.

The entertainment on the hotel is ok, although not a great deal for a 16 year old daughter if they want more than sunbathing and shopping. fortunately my daughter was happy with just these, so again it was fine for us. Loopy Leanne and Smelly kelly are certainly worth watching. They are a right laugh and a great double act.

Just one futher tip. I would seriously recommend that you do not bother with the shopping trip to Bourgas. We spent half a day here and it was absolutely awful. The beggars are actually quite scary and intrusive. My 8yr old son was very upset by a young beggar who kept following us. The town is ugly and we didn't rate the shops to highly either. Don't waste your money on this trip.

All in all we had a wonderful holiday at a beautiful hotel on a lovely resort and would certainly consider going there again.

Just returned home after first time in Bulgaria.

Overall we all had a good holiday.Royal park is very impressive when you first drive up. Standard of building is terrible though everythings falling apart already.Staff are always cleaning but never appear to achieve much.

My biggest gripe is that there are no seperate toilets for the pool/ entertainment area so everyone uses the toilets outside the restaurant, these get smelly and flooded on occasion.

We never went hungry but the food isn't very good, all crockery seems to be cracked and there's never enough knives, forks cups etc.staff in restaurant quite surly and tend to snatch things away from your table before you've finished with them.Fc entertainers very good and try hard, not much for older kids though.

This is a lovely hotel but could be so much better with just a bit of organisation and more helpful attitude.

I also didn't like the boxes for tips everywhere.

First time all inclusive - great family holiday.
Hotel kept clean, although one set of toilets a bit smelly. The beach, the pool and the pool area kept clean aswell. Had a fantastic room - family room with kids den.

Good variety of food, never went hungry!!!!

Not much outside the complex but to be honest you've no need to leave it. Sunny Beach a bus or taxi ride away - water park worth a visit. Also did the Lazy Day Cruise which was a nice day (even though we were at sea during a storm!)

The First Choice reps were always on hand and they were extremely helpful, especially Janey and Josey!

Entertainment fantastic - the whole team worked hard but especially Leanne, Kelly and Tom. Just join in with everything, our kids loved it. Met some fantastic people who helped make the holiday!!!!

A truly great holiday.....
