I don't think in my previous report I stressed how bad this hotel was.The food was absolutely awful. Most nights it was difficult to find anything to eat. How many hotels do you know that have tripe on the menu?

The bar staff never smiled. Most of the drinks were watered down. You need to ask for more alchohol in your drink otherwise you wont taste it.
The towels for the beach were really old. Some of them are even threadbare.

Whilst we were there the gardens around the pool were still being created so we had lorries going along the beach most days collecting soil and plants.

The noisy old cooling units were being replaced whilst we were there. It took 4 days for 1 block to be done so they should all be finished by the end of the year.
Be careful when you check out. We were asked to pay for a phone call to Spain we never made. Needless to say we never paid it.

As I said before this should not be rated a 4*hotel.The very most it should be is 3*.

To start with, some people who have posted reviews on here sure can't have gone to the same place as I did!! It was the best holiday ever and there was nothing wrong at all with it!!

The rooms are clean and have everything you need for an all inclusive holiday!!

The food is lovely, especially the buffet. You can't really fault it. We also went to the Mexican and Italian restaurant which were nice!! The waiters are really nice and are always smiling and singing!! and work really hard!!

The entertainment was great. Again the staff which provide the entertainment 'the animation team' work really hard and are always keeping you entertained, with pool games, aerobics, beach games, volleyball etc.

The shows at night are really good and keep you laughing!! After the main show we would go down to the street party where they put on more entertainment and you could go into the disco and have a good boogie. The staff will still be there entertaining as they start work at 9am one day and finish at 2-3am the following day!!

It's a great hotel for everyone. You have the choice whether you want to relax quietly on the beach or you can sit by the pool and have a bit more going on. Plus there are trips to do. We only did one it it was the best, we went swimming with dolphins!! it was amazing!! and not that expensive!!

The weather was good most days although we had a few tropical storms which can be quite scary because you don't no what they are bringing with them. But everything was ok. It was really refreshing when it rained.

I'm definitely going back next year!!

I stayed at the Bahia Principe san juan I have never experienced in fifteen years of travelling an appalling holiday like this one.

During the holiday many people suffered exteme food poisoning, things were stollen from their rooms. I personally obtained thousands of flea bites from the hotel bed.

I would not advise any one to visit or stay at this complex as the un helpfull staff only add to the overal waste of a well deserved summer holiday.

When we first arrived about 7:30 the main pool was closed it looked great.

We arrived on the 3rd May till 10th. The first few days were great the pool was amazing the pool bar was great so that when we were swimming we could just go and get drink and have them in the pool.

There were lots of restaurants like: Mexican, seafood, and more.

There were about 4 pools. There was a basketball one, the golden bar one that had a jacuzzi attached but it was very far from our rooms. There was a private pool that only VIP guests could use.

There were lots of disappointing things about our holiday. There wasn't anything for the kids to do from the ages of 13,15 and 4 there was one kids club for Ana*.

The main disappointment was the main pool, it was very noisy and stressful, and the pool near to our room, we weren't allowed to use so we made a complaint and it took 2 hours for us to be allowed in it.

The night life was so boring it was for the people that speak Spanish so there was nothing for the English people .

The rooms were great, very spacey with air con and fans there are tvs that have 65 channels like CNN, movies in English and Spanish.

The beach was great but I'm not the beach kind of person. The sand was far too hot and you couldn't walk on it. There were some shops along the strip, a bar and a casino.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week last May. It was our first all inclusive trip together. We had an amazing time. There certainly is nothing to complain about this resort.

The food was great especially throughout the buffet. Lots of choices, even for my boyfriend who does not eat anything that resembles a vegetable or is one. The a la carte restaurants were not quite as good, but really how well do you expect italian food, not cooked by an italian chef, to be. It still was tasty.

The staff members were awesome. As well as the entertainment. If you talk to those entertainers you realize quickly that they are those people who may have served you a drink earlier in the day. I have total respect for them. They work really hard and do an excellent job.

Needless to say my boyfriend and I decided that we would like to return. My cousin is having a family reunion this January 2007 and he has picked this resort to have it at. We will be attending this function and can not wait. We are certainly excited.

Also, make sure you tip once and awhile. The staff deserves it. If it was not all inclusive you would have to tip at any other hotel or restaurant. It is only a few dollars and it puts a smile on the staff members faces.

We stayed for 2 weeks all inclusive which was excellent for the children as they could drink as much pop as they could! (And adults too!!) However the food was ok to begin with but got very boring towards the end of the first week and the meat (whatever it was) left something to be desired- the best meal of the day was definitely breakfast because there were a few more alternatives and lots of cakes!

The one main problem with the food and it being all inc was that there wasn't anywhere to just get ice-cream or snacks from without having to pay -on previous all inc these were included.

The entertainment was quite good but on a little too late for the children to stay awake therefore we ended up leaving early every evening when we'd have been happy to stay.

Bahia Principe San Juan. The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff never seem to stop, always someone with a mop or brush. Even at the busiest times, tables were cleared straight away. The maids were in every day, clean sheets daily & towels changed daily. Can't fault the rooms, great standards.

Food in the buffet restaurant was very good, plenty of choice, tried 3 of the a la carte's, our favourite was the fish restaurant, service was great! Food excellent.

Set on its own private beach, there was no beach sellers pestering you. A little out of the way if you like to get out and about, you have to take taxi's or the hotel bus.

The hotel staff all had a smile on their faces all day long, so polite, nothing was too much trouble, every request was granted.

The animation team worked extremely hard to entertain everyone, very professionel, lots of variety, great for kids (wish we'd brought the grandchildren).

We would definatly visit this hotel again.

We have just returned from a weeks break at the Bahia Principe and we were very impressed, I was very sceptical about staying in one point for the whole of the holiday as we normally opt for a Caribbean cruise but I will never be worried about revisiting this particular complex again.

The journey time to the resort is about one and a half hours but make the most of it and try and see some of the local conditions, even the main road is like a dirt track in places, we were the last to be dropped off and so got to see the reception areas of quite a few of the main hotels and the Bahia compares well with them all.

The grounds are immaculate with staff constantly cleaning, planting and painting; because this complex is huge with accommodation based in two story blocks a number small

We stayed in the Bahia Principe(Hasciende section).

The accomodation's were excellent.

The staff most friendly and courteous, and the food was the best and most varied we have ever had an all inclusive resort.

I would have no second thoughts about staying there again
