First of all we had a great time.
The pool area was really good, with lots of loungers and there were always some free even when we got up really late. The pool is quite shallow

A nice hotel but not 5 star as quoted in some brochures.

Just three things I didn't see in other reviews:-

1. There is a Happy Hour from 5pm to 7pm in the Lobby Bar - half price larger.

2. People have remarked about the price of things on site but if you take a stroll up to the garage about 20mins away there is a mini mart selling lots of things from drinks, cigs, snacks, snorkel gear, childrens rubber rings/boats,etc, all less than half the price as those on site.

3. The heated pools at the other two hotels are much warmer than the heated one at the Marriott.

We've just come back from a week at the Marriott Taba Heights , had a great time ! If your ideal holiday is wake up early, eat, sunbathe, lie by the pool, eat, swim in the sea, lie by the pool, eat, have a few drinks, bed early then this is perfect for you.

We took our 15 month old and she loved the pool and the slide .. The staff were great, the food is ok, lots of variety but it all starts to taste the same by the end of the week .. still, it was good for the price. There is the option of another restaurant that you can pay extra for which I believe is good.

It's a very child friendly hotel, though I recommend you take everything if you have a young child ... the shop did sell some nappies but nothing else in the way of baby supplies. We changed our room to get a sea view and it was well worth it, it's a great spot and we will definitely be back for more ..

The Marriott was fine, but was definitely a 4 star hotel.

The pool area and restaurant seemed very clean, and the pool towels were always clean every day.

The linen and towels were changed in the room every day, however the bathroom could have been cleaner.

The food in the hotel was satisfactory, although did start to get fed up with lukewarm food. Best bit of breakfast was the freshly cooked eggs and the pastries, and dinner was the salads and deserts. Each evening the meal is themed, though you may have trouble spotting the theme if you don't look at the board beforehand. Definitely recommend going to their Italian "The Tuscany" for dinner, not too expensive and the food was really nice and hot! Also you can go to the "Grotto" for lunch, and they also have the same menu available in the evening (although you do have to pay for your food in the Grotto), definitely recommend it, foods hot, tasty and a wide choice.

If you want a drink with your meal and you drink red wine, go for Omar Khayyam, it's a Cabernet Sauvignon, very palatable and only costs about

The Marriott, in my opinion is the best hotel by far along the stretch of beach in Taba Heights.
Everything is superb.
Cleanliness, staff, food, rooms, everything was spot on for a very relaxing holiday.
I must say that there is no entertainment of an evening, so be warned if you're planning a night out on the town, it could be costly in a taxi.
This really is a "couples" holiday, pefect for relaxation.
The Hotel is situated about 45 minutes away from Taba Airport, and the views of the Siani as you drive through are amazing.
We have already planned our holiday back to Marriott, in Taba next year. We love it....

Traveled to TABA for the 1st time last week and was caught between booking the Marriott or the Hyatt as most people seem to be. We plumped for the Marriott and were not disappointed.

After initially being given a room that looked out over a nearby building site the hotel staff quickly relocated us into a room which was far more acceptable with a large balcony looking towards the Red Sea.

The Food is OK and if you plan your breakfast (which is excellent) for around 10:30am you can fill yourself sufficiently not to need to worry about buying lunch.

Evening meal is OK as long as you get to the restaurant reasonably early at around 8 pm (after this time it starts getting busy). Food itself is all buffet style and in the evening you pay for your drinks (which I would suggest ordering before you go to select your food as these can take sometime to arrive).

The hotel itself is a good 4* UK hotel rather than a 5* hotel (in UK terms) but as you spend most of your time either by the pool or in the sea this is not an issue at all - for a holiday hotel it is 1st class.

Everything is very clean and the staff really cannot do enough to please you

I have just returned from a holiday at the Marriot in Taba, it is a lovely hotel. The pictures on lastminute.com do not do it justice at all it looks much better in real life which was a nice surprise.

The staff look after you very well indeed they are always smiling always willing to help.

My room was clean and fresh everyday, nice clean new looking bathrooms, I cannot fault the cleanliness of my room. The only thing I noticed to the contrary was that sometimes trays were left in the corridor by guests (after ordering room service) and they were not collected straight away it was not uncommon for it to be left out for the whole day.

The location of this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, there are another 2 hotels along the coast which are within walking distance 15-20 min walk, so if you're looking for an exciting nightlife this is not the place for you.

The hotel entertainment consists of a bit of belly dancing and other organised dancers in the evening, but it's not that great so you'd be better of to make your own entertainment. Although most people at the hotel were a bit sedate

The food was good, with lots of choice

The facilities are excellent, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room are all free. Other treatment you pay for - I paid

The hotel itself was of an excellent standard, especially for the price you currently pay.

We were two friends who were looking for a completely relaxing week, drinking cocktails by the pool, reading our books and swimming in the sea and that is exactly what we achieved.

There is no nightlife and we weren't disappointed as were not going for that.

We were half board and both love food and aren't really fussy but by the end we were booking in the Tuscany just to eat something that was properly hot and presented to us on a plate instead of serving ourselves.

Everyone says don't touch the egyptian wine and that the international wine is too expensive.(which is true - a couple next to us in the tuscany ordered a bottle of unexciting italian white and paid

My mum and i travelled to Taba heights in aughust for the 1st time, and i can safely say that we would both return in a heart beat! We stayed in the Marriot beach resort on the red sea and words cannot describe the views and feeling you get there. My mum was weary at first being 2 females on our own and with me in my teens but i couldn't have felt safer.
The hotel was extremely clean which surprised me.
The food was ok in the main dinning, but do go early 7.30 - 8.00 as after this it starts to get busy. I would highly recommend the Tuscany it is excellant!
The hotel location couldn't be better in the middle of no where which was perfect for the relaxing holiday we wanted. Perfect beach, perfect hotel, perfect everything.
The hotel staff, they were the best. From a well travelled family the service was the best we have ever seen! They cannot do enough for you they are so friendly and always do everything with a smile.
There was nightly entertainment which was good but it was best to entertain yourselves.
There are 3 small shops in the hotel, jewellers, bazzar and a necessity shop, be careful of the necessity shop as it can be a bit pricy but the bazzar style shop has prices better than Cairo! and the guys are so friendly.
We did the trip to Cairo and the trip to Jerusalem, i would recommend both. We stayed over night in Cairo In the Conrad hotel which was amazing and our tour guide couldn't hav been better, funny, helpful but most of all interested in the welfare of us the tourists. Do be careful of the egyptian men as they can sometimes be a little too friendly, asking questions and saying that they love you, the best thing to do is to give a smile and walk on, but i never felt threatened, the trip to Jerusalem is amazing and again very safe nothing to fault in the trips.
I would highly recommend snorkeling and visiting the red sea water world once you go you will see why.
Would i go back? Well i didn't want to come home!
