I booked this holiday afer much searching for a good deal on the internet and was a little concerned about the lack of info available providing reviews (this following a bad experience previously). At this hotel, any misgivings were soon shown to be unfounded.

Although the hotel is not in a resort as such, it is by a main road and buses and taxis are readily available, so do not let this put you off.

We travelled AI and were very pleased with the wide choice of food, always in plentiful supply, children are also well catered for if they are not too adventurous with their choices. Food is available in one form or another all day, fresh pancakes at the beach were a treat mid afternoon. The restaurant staff are exceedingly helpful and attentive (try a small tip and this becomes a little OTT). Drinks are always readily available with beer provided as self service at several of the bars. All bar staff again were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is showing some signs of age, however our rooms were spacious and freshly decorated with fridge, tv and hairdryer as standard. The rooms were cleaned daily by friendly maids and there was none of the familiar ushering us out of the room in the morning to allow for cleaning. All rooms at the front of the hotel have a direct view to the sea, worth paying the suppliment for. As the hotel is built into the side of a steep hill, walking to the 2nd pool may not be suitable for some. As mentioned in previous reviews, there are wasps at this hotel however, after a while you ignore them and I was not aware of anybody being stung, all they seemed interested in was the sugary drinks. Access to the beach taverna is either over the road or through a tunnel and it is ideally located at the waters edge. Lunch is provided here and again the staff went out of their way to provide a 1st class service.

As with many hotels of this age (1970's?) the lifts are small, slow and have a mind of their own, use the stairs if in a rush.

Entertainment was above average and enjoyed greatly by the children.

We hired a car for a few days and toured around which I would recommend as Corfu is a small island and most of it can be visited in 3 or 4 days.

As we had a night flight, we retained our rooms until departure, which I would strongly recommend. Corfu airport at 2am on a tuesday morning is not a place of choice to visit and was only bearable as we had had a long lazy day and were able to freshen up in our own rooms before collection by the coach.

If we visited Corfu again, the Regency Beach would be our first choice. All in all a very good hotel choice especially for families.

Returned 8/8/05 3rd time at this hotel absolutely fantastic warm welcome great time had by all family.

Location is somewhat a minor disapointment if you like shopping or sightseeing but otherwise great. Entertainment team led by Suzu and 5 girls very good. Andreas is the service manager who is great bar staff great exspecially Nikos and Spiros.

All in all brilliant will be back again next year. Please be aware the beach is not sand but pebble. Thanks again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks at the beginning of the season, what a fantastic holiday! The staff were fantastic, they just could not do enough for you - with out you even asking! E.g. I got in the lift with one of the cleaners and she wouldn't even let me press the button to get to the floor I wanted!

The food was exceptional, my husband and son are very fussy eaters, and they both managed to have a very good meal at all times, watch out for their butter - it is the tastiest butter you will ever have!

All of the waiters were great, they tell you off if you even just pile the plates up!

With it being the beginning of the season, the entertainment had a lot to live up to, but the kids disco at night was absolutely brilliant, and the greek dancers were very good.

The hotel was spotlessly clean at all times, some parts could do with a bit of TLC the disco room springs to mind.

The beach isn't the best beach in the world, it is pebbles and the sea does get very deep very quickly, but the beach bar provided many a lazy afternoon retreat from the glorious sunshine (By the way, don't even bother looking at any of the weather forecasts, it is hot hot hot and that is all anyone needs to know!!!)

The first pool area is lovely, we only went up to the other pool once, and it was very busy with giant wasps, but we rarely saw any further down the hill, the play park area is dismal, it is full of weeds, with rusty old swings and climbers, and again plagued by giant wasps, but if the worst thing is the park, then it can't be bad!

Also the gift shop at the hotel, is your average gift shop, but the ladies that work in there are brilliant, they remembered our son's name by the 3rd/4th day we were there, and everytime he went in, they were saying hello Thomas, just really making a fuss of him.

Although the hotel is 2km away from any town, this is all clearly stated in all of the brochures I have seen, so if you are after a busy resort this probably isn't for you, but if you want a nice relaxing holiday by the pool/sea, then this is it.

I have no doubts that one day we will come back to the Regency Beach, and where ever we go away again, we will always look to see if there is an Iberostar hotel first, everything and one was just great, we couldn't have asked for it any better.

Staying on an All Inclusive one week holiday. Two children under 10 yrs. we found the following.

Take as much mosquito repellent as possible, they were a terrible pest, also watch out for the giant wasps. We were pestered by ordinary wasps every lunchtime down
at the beach bar and restaurant.

The reception staff were either friendly or unpleasant depending on who was working.

The sea view room we asked for was very clean but also old and a little tatty. The view was absolutely fantastic. The lights and air con only work at night or when the key fobs magnetic ring was placed on a pad on the wall.

Communal areas were spotless and the linen we had was v clean if a little old.

The ice cream is excellent, the choice of food is wide but perhaps more based for the European market than our English tastes. We did find chips.

The alcohol served i.e. the lager is dire the Vodka is terrible, the Oepsi Cola is freezing and very good.

The pools are clean and safe with adult supervision. Go and try the top pools and playground for a fantastic view of the mountainside and watch the birds of prey fly.

Take beach shoes for everyone as the beach is pebbles.

Water is full of fishes and beautifully clear. Try a pedalo or canoe.

A taxi to Corfu one way costs 20 Euros so ask for a bus timetable it costs one Euro each.

For me the hotel was too far - 14km from town.

There is only one other taverna and the hotel shop which is reasonable.

The entertainment was aimed at the kids and they loved it. The entertainments staff are very friendly and the kids club is great.

No entertainment after 12 so go relax, eat, drink, be merry. Try joining in the games but if you need a little shopping or more entertainment you will need to go to the next towns or into Corfu itself.....

We have been to this hotel 3 times now.

The food is excellent Andreas the manager will look after you especially if you return (as we have).

The location is isolated. Shop around for car hire I saved 100 euros on hotel price by using local shop (when we had thunderstorm at 10pm he came out with cover for jeep!) You wouldn

This was our 2nd visit here, the hotel and staff are second to none, cannot do enough for you.

I cannot fault this hotel at all, we spend our time at the pool relaxing. The food is great, best of all is the hotel manager Andreas he remembered us from last year so arranged for fruit and wine to be delivered to our room, hoping to go back again this year.

The entertainment team are fantastic, so friendly.

We have just come back from the best holiday ever you can not fault this hotel or its staff.

The Animation Team are fantastic they really take pride in what they do and are very tallented. They take time to speak to all the guests and to actually get to know you.

The facilities are great the beach is really clean. the pools where lovely and clean and very well maintained aswell as all the grounds in and around the hotel. The staff take a real interest in what they do right through to the cleaners and the maintance people. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

You have to go you will not regret it. You will love it.
