we stayed at the ambavris apartments kos town it was our 2nd time and we couldnt wait !probably the best place we have stayed at ! the family who run it are brilliant ! they carn(t do enough for you ! the rooms are basic but clean the pool is excellent and bar is always lively the apartments were just far away but near enough to town in lovely countryside we are going back for another 2 weeks on may the 15th 2010 ! would highly recommend them for couples or family's with kids !one last thing they put on a great greek night which all the family take part in its only 10 euros well worth it as the food is great !

Nice family run apartments. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Fridge had just been defrosted and cleaned when we arrived. Recommended. Good supermarket 200m from hotel entrance. The edge of Kos town is several hundred metres away. The road into town has no pavement and is only just wide enough for two cars to pass so need to be careful. It is lit at night. We walked there and back a few times. Alternatively there is a good taverna near the hotel on this road which was visited by a large group of locals on the friday.

This is the best place in the greece we have stayed here 6 times in 3 years and are going back for 2 weeks @ the end of may. There is always a gerat mix of people staying there and every one has a great time. The family is out of this world and work really hard to make your stay 1 to remember and every week someone from the year before go's back to stay, nothing is to much troble for them.
The road to and from town is a little thin in parts so take a tourch at night but you can get a taxi from the apartments (just ask one of the lads to phone for you)and you can get one back from town for 5 euros any time day or night the price dosent change. All the food is cooked by eleni the mother and is really tasty and priced really well, the father george is just fantastic, a really nice man, try out your greek on him he will give you a few pointers. chris,stamati and costa the son's take turns working the bar am, pm and am again(till about 4am)the bar opens at 8am where you can get breakfast.
You will have a great time here onest..

Brilliant Hotel! The boys were such flirts! Gotta love Kostas tho :] the whole family is amazing. Bar was open all day and shut at 4am very good after a heavy night at barstreet! The whole family constantly kept you entertained and george's famous saying BE HAPPY i think everyone took into account. Would definitely go back. Hotel was clean and tidy, rooms done every other day. Food was ok definitely gotta try the greek salad. Hotels quite a walk away from town. But heyyy BAR STREET is worth the walk. Taxis are only 5euros anyway when your too drunk too walk home. I Would love to go back.
