We spent the first two weeks of June at the Kiotari Bay on an all inclusive basis. The food was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of choice for the children as well. My two prefer salads to chips and they enjoyed every meal.

The location was lovely and picturesque.

The staff were very helpful as most days I asked them to warm up a baby's bottle and this was no problem.

The entertainment was second to none and I would definitely visit this hotel again without a second thought.

My wife and family arrived at Kiotari on 1 September for 2 weeks.

All our luggage was taken to our room from reception. The hotel had 8 or 9 swimming pools but check out the new ones at the top end they are fantastic, all brand new, 2 adult ones and 1 children

When we arrived at this hotel I was pleased at what I first saw, the rooms were of a good size, my husband, myself and 10month old son were is one room and my 16 year old daugher and friend in the room next door. There was plenty of room for us even though we had the travel cot. The rooms were cleaned regularly, some days better than others but we had no cause for complaint.

Pool area was great, yes you had to get up to put towels out in order to ensure a bed but I don't know many place that you don't and this was no problem for us as we were awaken about 7.30 by our son.

The food was fantastic, there was everything you could want and the presentation was excellent. The restaurant could be a bit of a free for all at the busyist times but the table were emptied and re-laid immediately someone left so no problem. Staff were great making fuss of Harvey (our son) even picking him up and wandering off for a while to leave us to eat.

My main concern when we arrived seeing that the hotel was somewhat remote was that the girls (aged 16) would be bored. I needn't as they made friends with lots of people, yes hardly any english there but too our shame most of the german kids spoke good english. The girls loved it so much that they are talking of getting a group of friends to return next year. I also spoke to my daughter about getting a week away at end of August and she asked if we could return here!

The entertainment team were great, although this was down to the hotel animation team and the german reps. We only saw 1 First Choice rep in the show once during our stay, but they translate in all languages and the shows are of a high standard and had us laughing alot.

Drinks aren't great but we managed to have quite a few! Zeus bar in a payable cocktail bar 5 euros for a main brands cocktail (3.50 during happy hour 11pm-12pm) and Billy the barman is lovely. Mosquitoes are a problem, I got bitten quite a bit as did my daughter's friend but my husband, son and duaghter didnt have a problem. All in all I have said at many all inclusive resorts and would have no hesitation is returning to this hotel, we all had a great time and they are just finishing a new section which looks very post, steamer chair sun beds and there will be apartments on roof with own pool! which they said would not be much different in price!

on arrival we entered the recepiton area handed over our passports and was given a key, once we found our room and waited for our luggage we needed to ask the porter to explaine why there was no electric! (the white disc on your key ring is for that.)
rooms are basic but ok hair dryer is not worth using and the only english channels are cartoon network and bbc world news. we had a major problem with ants in our room, having to comb them out of our kids hair each morning and shake all our clothing out before wearing them.the hotel in general was clean but the snack bar was at best dirty and infested by flys. kiotari bay is in the middle of nowhere but car hire is cheap. 9 seater for the day was

Not the 4* we quite expected and the public areas within the hotel were shabby. The hotel is multi cultural with all nationalities catered for. Very quiet and not much to do during the day around the hotel and the no entertainment at all during the evenings.

A very old hotel which could do with a complete refit.

The car rental is very expensive in the hotel, as is the very basic supermarket.

Not the best place we have stayed and I can recommend the Palladium Hotel as we moved there after 2 nights in the 'Hotel time forgot'

Arrived at Kiotari Bay on 16th June 2004 with my husband and two children aged 3 and 19 months. The hotel is in the middle of no-where with Kiotari approx 2k away.

The Hotel was very clean, especially around the pool areas which are brilliant. There is an extremely large childrens pool (the size of an adult pool) being about 2' deep all the way around. There are no blind spots around this pool and the children are safe.

In order to get a sunbed you must be up and about by 7.30am to reserve a bed (although hotel rules say you must not do this). If you do not reserve a bed there will be none available.

They have an awful problem with Mosquitos and everyone was walking around with large red bites all over their bodies. Even recommended insect repellants and those plug-ins do not help.

The all-inclusive food is fantastic with lots of variety. If you cannot find something you like then there would be no pleasing you. Our children ate well during our stay. The drink is appalling. You would need to drink beer constantly for a whole fortnight if you want to feel the slightest bit tipsy (it is very weak and in our opinion it tastes like it is watered down, although we cannot prove this). PLEASE NOTE THE FIRST CHOICE BROCHURE STATES ALL-INCLUSIVE IS AVAILABLE FROM 10.00am UNTIL MIDNIGHT. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. DEAD ON THE DOT AT 11.30pm EVERYTHING CLOSES (YOU CANNOT EVEN GET A CUP OF COFFEE).

The hotel in our opinion is mainly geared for Germans and Italians. English guests are definately the minority. The Italians have their own entertainment venue on a roof terrace where we were not allowed.

The entertainment is mainly run by a German team and out of 14 nights stay, we only had 5 English shows which were prepared by two eastern european brothers working for the hotel who are absolutely fantastic. Even the English football matches in Euro 2004 (shown in the pay bar) had no English commentary.

The childrens disco for English lasted 30 mins whereas the German disco lasted 1 hour.

The entertainment venue is an Amphitheatre. If you are with children in buggies this is not ideal. To get a front row seat is impossible, so you are left to stand. The steps are very steep and slippery and in our opinion not child friendly at all.

For a family hotel it is far from ideal. There is not a single baby-changing facility in the whole hotel.

There is not first-aider on site. To call a Doctor out cost approximately
