This was an ok holiday but my son became very ill on the 5th night with serious vommiting and diarreoah.

We had been up all night with him and he was 14years old. We had to wait ages for the doctor who said it was a bug but he did give him an injection which calmed it down.

The maid was very good she changed the bed and cleaned all around the loo to freshen the room up. Not nice when there are 4 people in 1 room so it ruined the holiday and we know of at least 3 more people that were ill so whether it was the food we dont know.

It is a very nice hotel, you can get ill anywhere but it has put me off going abroad without reading reviews first about where you are staying then make your decision when you have read peoples opinions.

We stayed in the maris rodos hotel, kiotari. It was listed as 5 star all inclusive.
The difference to what is advertised and what is offered varies in great detail. There was no mini bar, no coffee/tea making facilities, the food was cold at every meal, the selection was disgusting, there was none. There was no fresh fruit the entire week. Food that was supposed to be on the menu was not available.

The cleanliness of the hotel was good, considering that children were left to chase around unsupervised. The hotel staff did nothing to ask them to calm down.

The location of the hotel, is isolated and makes the trip tiring, from landing in rhodes, we were three hours before we hasd checked into our rooms. The amount of steps there are to any part of the complex makes it difficult for anyone disabled. This is not mentioned anywhere in the advertisements.

The hotel staff left a lot to be desired where customer service was called for. Our holiday rep Bill WRIGHT was excellent but a lot of our complaints went beyond his control. The staff at the restaurant, again was good. The manger and reception staff, should be sacked and made to retrain. They were rude, abrupt and unhelpful. There attitude to any complaint was tough, you should be in our sister hotel, Rodos Village. But both are listed as five star all inclusive. The rodos village hotel was not even open, it was still having buiding and painting work done, so how could they take bookings, Considering the location and isolation of the hotel, the entertainment was nil.
It was o.k if you were a child, then there was plenty to do. Which left most of the adults sat arouynd the hotel at night, thinking they were at butlins holiday camp and children running around screaming and chasing each other, playing football in the bar areas with no supervision from either parents or hotel staff.

Rhodes is a beautiful island and the greek people are lovely, but I will never go to this group of hotels again. The reception staff were very unhelpful when it came to check out, they rudely told us we could not pay and have either anothr room or an extension, which resulted in us being out of our room 13 hours before we went to the airport, another three hours before we flew and a nother 4 hours before we landed. I could have gone to America in that time and I wish I had.

A good 3/4 star hotel -definately not 5 star.Exceptionally clean throughout and gardens immaculate.
Location was isolated as expected but the island is lovely if you hire a car.
Food on the whole was excellent and a good choice for every meal but don't expect chips and chicken nuggets for the children. As we usually find in Greece the food is not served as hot as in England.
Our room was in the main hotel(Rodos Maris)on the third floor.Basic rather old fashioned furniture but there was a fridge and a satellite TV. A reasonable sized family room for an all inclusive.Fabulous views.
Found our travel rep very nice but useless. The hotel staff were exceptionally polite and courteous at all times, even with the children. One or two people had problems with their room location etc... Dont bother with the rep ask the management as soon as possible.
I would say that the hotel is unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties owing to the amount of steps.
Beach reasonable and toilets again immaculate.
The childrens club was fine for a young girl but pre teenage boys found themselves too old for the mini club and too young for other entertainment.
We found the evening entertainment unsuitable and at times crude. We did find that in the first week there were several adults obviously taking advavtage of the free boose and were seen swaying at all times of the day, even dancing on the beach bar tables at lunch. They also seemed permenently attached to their football shirts even at dinner when evening dress was expected.Need I asy more.

We stayed at the Rhodos Maris Hotel over Easter 2004. We booked as a party of 2 adults and 1 child (aged 9) with Sunstar Leisure and booked my mother in a single room with holiday hotels a couple of days before departure. We found the hotel to be surprisingly enjoyable. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly especially the beach bar staff and the entertainment staff (Toto and his team). The food was rather good for an all inclusive. The beach restaurant was only opened on one lunchtime during our stay but it was rather nice and a change from the main restaurant for lunch. We had a mini bar in our room which was not filled up during the whole week but in my mothers room it was replenished daily. The location was lovely, right on a it's own beach with free sunbeds and beach bar with snacks offered all day. The staff at the beach bar were a joy to meet. Overall this was an enjoyable holiday and we would like to revisit this hotel again later in the year. We travel as a family to various parts of the world on different types of holidays each year and we really quite enjoyed this holiday.

I stayed at this hotel last year, and had a great time, staff friendly, rooms clean and plenty of food. Very relaxing for not for the night clubbers.
