One only has to visit Rhodes Town in order to experience the true Greek hospitality. From a shopkeeper giving us his personal recipe for an excellent Greek salad to the warmest of welcomes we received in any of the cafes we patronised. You may be a stranger when you arrive, but you are a friend when you leave.

Rhodes Town is fantastic, you can either visit the old town if you're feeling romantic, or visit the bar area for something more lively but not too in your face.
Not once did we see people being sick in the streets or any fights!
I'd say this was more for couples/singles not families.

Ladies forget your straighteners, Rhodes is so windy you'll look like you've been dragged through a hedge backwards within 5 minutes of stepping out!

The hotel is situated in a great position in Rhodes Town. One side of rhodes can be windy, but hotel only minutes away from area away from wind. The Old Town of Rhodes is totally amazing and everyone should go both day and nightime! Also loads of shops in new area even a M&S Got lost a few times in all the streets but adds to the fun. Trip to Lindos a must but much more expensive on boat. 20 Euros each and takes over 2 hours, 8 on bus which takes just over an hour. You learn by mistakes! Nothing to do for children in rhodes town, some in our hotel bored, as it didnt seem to cater for them either. But loved it and will return

Resort is spotlessly clean.

Old town is large and very impressive with numerous shops/restaurants on cobbled streets. The lighting at night gives it a nice atmosphere.

Resort was very quiet - but we went at the end of October which is obviously end of season, so lacked atmosphere during the evenings.

Our first visit to Rhodes and we would definitely return.

Plenty of bars and shops to wander around in Old Rhodes. Beach is shingle, unfortunately as there are no waste bins in sight rubbish is left on the beach at the end of the day.

My gob was well and truly smacked with Rhodes Town...I loved it...as did my 2 teenage daughters! There are lots of bars, tavernas and restaurants...all reasonably priced and the standard was excellent! The Old Town is beautiful...all cobbled streets and old walls and the New Town is busy and bustling. The Old Town is easily reached on foot...just follow the beach round. The Beach is in 2 sections...'Windy Beach'is alot cooler than the beach near the old town...and as the name suggests it is pleasantly breezy. Sunbeds and shades are available for a reasonable charge (10 Euros 50 cents for 3 beds and umbrella)and there are numorous little beach bars all selling the usual drinks and snacks. There are also fruit sellers along the promenade and the fruit they sell is gorgeous and sooo cheap! The beach is shingle and is well kept. I'd say Rhodes Town is better for adults and older children and I highly recommend it for a fab holiday!

This is the third time I have been to Rhodes and this time decided to stay in Rhodes Town itself. The promenade has many cafes and tavernas overlooking the harbour. The food is good and not too expensive.

There are many boat trips to be taken from the harbour to Symi, Marmaris (Turkey)and other locations on the Island.

The resort itself is clean with no litter and there are plenty of shops both 'touristy' and large shops and boutiques in the New Town.

At night the old town comes alive with the shops open till all hours. There is a theatre in the Old Town which has a

Greek dancing display every week. One of the restaurants on the harbour has live music every night and Greek dancing if there are any of the locals in. To be recommended.

Rhodes Town seems to have everything for everyone. Entertainment, beaches and historical sightseeing. The town is full of little alleyways that you can go down and keep finding different things each time you visit. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit almost everyones taste. If you enjoy walking and seeing historical sights, there can be no better place with the Grand Palace, Ancient monuments and Acropolis.
It's definitely a place we will be visiting again.
